This weekend, two of our off-duty members were proud to be on site supporting participants throughout the workshop, continuing the SFFCS tradition of giving back through hands-on community involvement.
In addition to volunteering, the SFFCS was honoured to provide a $5,000 donation in support of the program and gift each participant a signature SFFCS hat as a small reminder that they are strong, capable, and supported by their community.

This long-standing event continues to bring firefighters together from across the region in support of an important cause, with all proceeds helping fund the impactful work of the Vancouver Firefighter Charities.

Youth support and development continues to be a primary focus for the SFFCS, and we are proud to partner with organizations delivering meaningful programming that helps young people build confidence, leadership skills, community connections, food security, and positive opportunities for growth.
This funding will support a wide range of initiatives including youth leadership conferences, civic engagement programs, food literacy and nutrition programs, after-school supports, mentorship opportunities, Indigenous youth leadership initiatives, recreation activations, and community events reaching thousands of youth throughout Surrey.
We want to thank the City of Surrey Healthy Communities team for their continued partnership and for the incredible work they do supporting youth and families across our community.

The Surrey Fire Fighters’ Charitable Society was proud to present a $200,000 contribution to purchase a new 5-ton refrigerated truck supporting Surrey Food Bank operations and helping strengthen food distribution efforts throughout our community.
The story of the SFFCS is very similar to that of the Surrey Food Bank — a group of like-minded people coming together with one goal: supporting the community we work and live in.
Food security continues to be a major priority for the SFFCS. Whether it’s through our Nutritional Snack Program supporting over 7,500 students across Surrey schools, or through partnerships like this with the Surrey Food Bank, we remain committed to ensuring individuals and families in Surrey have access to the support they need.
We are incredibly proud to stand alongside the Surrey Food Bank and all of the volunteers, donors, and community partners helping make a difference every single day.
The new truck will now head off for co-branding and will soon be out on the road supporting food distribution efforts across Surrey.

This annual event brings together community and corporate teams for a unique evening of competition, teamwork, and awareness while raising important funds to support wheelchair basketball programs, equipment, tournaments, and athlete development across the province. In addition to participating in this year’s event, the SFFCS was also proud to make an additional donation in support of the BC Wheelchair Basketball Society and the athletes, families, and communities they serve.
Thank you to BCWBS, the organizers, volunteers, athletes, and all participating teams for continuing to build such an impactful and inclusive event year after year.

Thanks to your incredible generosity and community support, $2,472.75 was raised in support of the Surrey Fire Fighters’ Charitable Society Nutritional Snack Program.
These funds will go directly toward purchasing snacks for children in our community who may otherwise go without during the school day.
We are incredibly grateful to have been selected as a local beneficiary alongside Ronald McDonald House Charities and proud to work alongside community partners who continue to step up for local families and children.
