I booked a reservation assuming it would be hot and sweaty but in reality we had 2 typhoons incoming. ๐ That didn't stop me from heading to Azuki to Kลri though! Just like for example, who opened up their gorgeous kill bill-esque shop this March 2026! The interior goes HARD, with some of the most gorgeous looking knives I've ever seen. I've been lusting over damascus knives since forever and they have them in different blades depending on your needs.
And before you worry, yes, they are perfectly fine to bring home as souvenirs! (Just make sure you put them in your checked in luggage!)

The best strawberries I have ever tasted are hands down from Japan. Back then I didnt understand why they would make somehow bland cakes filled with fruits until I was able to taste their strawberries and realized how it was so juicy and sweet! Just them alone on cakes would be enough to make the dessert sweet and delicious.
I always made sure to eat strawberries whenever I go there. Their season is usually at the start of the year (which is when I often go) and they would even hold strawberry buffets at hotels! (Seriously, go look it up.) I was supposed to go to one this year after failing to go to one last year, but obviously that will have to wait for a much, much later date.
For now, I'll just have to oogle at some Amaou strawberries- the one used for this pocky variant native to the Hakata region (aka home of one of my favorite places in Japan, Fukuoka!)
