Riding from Munich to Italy via the Brenner Pass is one of my all-time favourite road cycling routes. One reason is that the route is so rewarding: most of the climbing happens in the first half - after that, it basically feels like one endless downhill all the way into Italy.
But what makes this route really special to me is the feeling of moving through completely different worlds within just a few hundred kilometres. Since and I did this trip over Easter, we started in cold, almost wintry weather in Germany, crossed the Alps, and suddenly arrived in full-on spring in Italy - every single time that contrast blows my mind.
This time we expanded the route and returned via the Vinschgau cycle path and the Reschen Pass - and honestly, that extension was perfect. Relaxed riding through blooming apple orchards, tiny old villages, endless bike paths and scenery that felt almost absurdly postcard-perfect at times.
Absolute recommendation.

I donโt think Iโve ever been this well prepared - and at the same time, this mindful.
This time it wasnโt about beating last yearโs time.
It was about listening - staying mindful of the situation, not overheating, not dehydrating, not taking risks on the descents.
Turns out, I can still have a lot of fun.
And even though Iโm carrying 4 kg more right now, still managed to place top 10 in my age group ๐คฉ.
Pregnancy doesnโt mean you have to stop doing intense sport. If you were training hard before, you can keep going - just more consciously, more in tune with your body.
The best advice Iโve heard: donโt listen to all the advice - Trust yourself, youโll figure it out and do an amazing job. ๐ค

Endless valleys, remote mountain villages, quiet roads and dusty tracks stretching deep into the Atlas Mountains. After racing the Atlas Mountain Race, Marion realized she had barely seen the country โ most of the race had passed in darkness.
So she came back.
This time without the pressure of a race. Just six days on gravel bikes, covering 650 km and 7,250 meters of climbing from the desert landscapes near Ouarzazate towards the High Atlas and Marrakech.
The journey revealed everything that makes gravel riding in Morocco so special: wide open spaces, changing terrain, welcoming guesthouses, mint tea after long days in the saddle โ and landscapes that feel almost unreal.

In December, I said byebye to my 30s and looked back at a decade in which I deliberately designed a life that feels unmistakably mine - shaped by curiosity, detours, and the freedom to choose differently.

After, Marion and her partner Jonas set off on a small loop through the Araucanรญa region โ riding past dense forests, deep-blue lakes, and towering volcanoes, before crossing the border into Argentina, where spring burst into yellow blossoms and long, empty gravel roads stretched endlessly ahead.

On the Chilean side we rode through deep forests, past shimmering lakes and looming volcanoes, switching between smooth tarmac and brutally bumpy washboard gravel.
But once we crossed into Argentina, the landscapes changed drastically - suddenly spring was in full swing. Gentle hills opened up around us, the terrain turned more barren, the weather softened, and yellow blossoms lined quiet gravel roads that felt almost completely our own.
After a few hectic weeks before leaving Germany, it was exactly what we needed - slow, calm, and grounding in the best possible way.
