Stojącą w centrum kuchni wyspę usunięto, zapewniając płynniejszą komunikację i głębszy blat roboczy (80 cm). – Wizję projektu zbudowaliśmy wokół nie powtarzalności przestrzeni, dążąc do ukazania mocy tej architektury bez jej przeciążania – tłumaczy architekt. Kluczową rolę w realizacji celu odegrał dobór materiałów. Na podłogi przestrzeni mieszkalnej i holi trafiły deski z jasnego, pozbawionego sęków drewna jesionowego.
