This isn’t because I don’t know how to handle it or train it
It’s because I live with it every single day and bring a certain bias to those cases
My heart knows the pain of having a dog who sometimes will react out of fear of loosing things that he values most. I am one of those things.
I know the true level of daily management and training it takes to successfully maintain what is left of my dog’s relationship.
I know the sacrifices of missing time with family, paying for two separate pet sitters, always being “on” in terms of high levels of management as well as understanding that this isn’t a training issue this is just who Westley is. This isn’t my fault.
I know that sometimes it isn’t possible for my two dogs to play like they once did in the first clip when everything was easier. And that’s okay.
So, to answer the question as to why I don’t take these cases, it’s because my dogs at home need all the energy and time that it takes to successfully have them live together and my own biases and experiences wouldn’t allow me to fully show up for my clients in those cases which isn’t fair 🩵
I am always here for love and support as someone who knows exactly what it takes to successfully support two dogs in the same home when there is conflict, and I am more than happy to refer to some of my incredible colleagues who will help happy to help support you through this journey 🫶🏻
