The sweet mama and her puppies that we rescued from the woods yesterday are doing very well. Mom is doing an amazing job caring for her babies and, at this point, she is handling everything on her own like a true superstar.
Because she is nursing and tending to her puppies so beautifully, what they need most right now is a safe and quiet foster home where this little family can rest and thrive.
π‘ We are urgently looking for a Houston-area foster for mama and her babies.
Sunnyside Street Dogs will provide all supplies, food, and medical care. You simply provide a loving, temporary place for this deserving family to stay until the puppies are old enough for the next step in their journey.
Mama has already been through so much, and thanks to all of you, she no longer has to raise her babies alone in the woods.
If you can foster, please message Sunnyside Street Dogs right away.
Please share to help us find this precious family the safe haven they deserve. πΎπ

Sultan is safe.
There were so many people pulling for this sweet boy today. Your shares, pledges, and unwavering support helped give him the second chance he deserves.
Just look at those soulful eyes and those giant ears. Beneath that frightened expression is a young dog who was simply waiting for someone to say, βYou matter.β
Now Sultan can leave the shelter behind and begin the next chapter of his life surrounded by safety, care, and love.
Thank you to everyone who shared his story, pledged to help, and refused to let him be forgotten.
Welcome to Sunnyside Street Dogs, Sultan. Your life starts now. β€οΈπΎ

Baby Soren #A2069682 is only 12 weeks old and is out of time at BARC.
This precious little boy came in as a stray with his sister, who has already made it to safety. Now Soren is left behind, sick with an upper respiratory infection and facing euthanasia if a rescue cannot secure a local foster by 1 PM Monday.
Soren is everything you would want in a puppy β sweet, affectionate, wiggly, and full of tail wags. He loves treats, cuddles, and baby talk, and he just wants someone to hold him and tell him he matters.
At just three months old, he should be learning what toys are and falling asleep in a cozy bed β not sitting alone in a shelter kennel wondering where his sister went.
π‘ We need a Houston-area foster until transport.
π We need donations for his vetting and transport to our rescue partner.
π Your support is what will save this babyβs life.
Please help us give Soren the childhood every puppy deserves.
π© Message us if you can foster.
π Donate if you can help with his care.
π’ Share to help us find his lifesaving foster.

β° On the euthanasia list at BARC for Monday, May 11th. Deadline is 1 PM. No extensions.
Sultan is the last one left behind.
Over the past two weeks, we were able to save his siblings Whitney, Drago, Princess, Cosmo, and Cherish. Their mother, Raven, was tragically euthanized at BARC on April 25th before we could reach her.
Now Sultan is the only member of this family still sitting in a kennel, waiting and wondering why everyone else made it out except him.
We cannot bear the thought of leaving him behind.
At just 5 months old and 36 pounds, Sultan is still a puppy. Shelter life has been overwhelming for him. He is scared, anxious, and reacts to all the noise and chaos around him. But underneath that fear is a sweet young dog who approaches with a soft wagging tail, takes treats gently, and simply needs the chance to feel safe.
Once separated from his sibling, staff noted that he became calmer, kept his kennel clean, and quietly played with his enrichment toys.
Sultan does not need to die because he is frightened in a stressful shelter environment.
He needs exactly what his siblings received: a foster home, medical care, and a chance to decompress.
π‘ LOCAL HOUSTON FOSTER NEEDED
π° PLEDGES NEEDED FOR VETTING, BOARDING, AND TRANSPORT TO OUR RESCUE PARTNER
π Transport can be arranged once he is safe.
Please help us save the final puppy from Ravenβs family.
Please do not honor pledges until a freedom photo is posted showing Sultan safely with Sunnyside Street Dogs.

If you remember Ember, she was the tiny puppy found all alone in a concrete culvert in the Rio Grande Valley. Against all odds, she survived and is now thriving in foster care.
Rosie was found just down the same street where Ember was discovered. We believe they are likely related and may have the same parents from different litters.
That single street is home to an estimated 10 to 20 stray dogs. We may never know exactly who is related to whom, but we do know the dogs there continue to reproduce at a heartbreaking rate.
Rosie is a sweet, happy puppy who loves other dogs, adores children, and has a playful personality. She loves her toys, chases birds, and will keep you smiling with her silly antics.
She can be a little shy at first, but once she feels safe, she blossoms into an affectionate cuddle bug who gives the sweetest kisses and acts as though she is making up for all the love she has missed. β€οΈ
Rosie is looking for either a foster so she can enter rescue, or an adopter who will give her the forever home she deserves.
Please help us give Rosie the same chance that Ember received. πΎπ

:
At just 12 weeks old, little Ember was found completely alone in a culvert in the Rio Grande Valley.
How this tiny puppy survived on her own, we will never know.
What we do know is that she is an incredibly sweet, loving baby who is ready to leave her difficult start behind and find a family of her own. β€οΈ
Ember is about 12 weeks old and has all of her puppy teeth. She is doing wonderfully in foster care and has already proven what a smart girl she is. She uses potty pads, goes outside, and is described by her foster as βa very good pup.β
She is affectionate, cuddly, and has become quite the little Velcro dog, always wanting to stay close to her foster mom. She is playful, lovable, and impossible not to fall in love with.
And yesβ¦ those adorable ears are absolutely irresistible. π₯°
After surviving alone in a culvert, Ember deserves a lifetime of safety, love, and snuggles.
If youβre looking for a loyal best friend who will follow you everywhere, Ember may be your perfect match. πΎπ. #AdoptEmber #PuppyLove #RescuePuppy #AdoptDontShop #DogsofInstagram
We followed Jerani of as she fostered a disabled puppy for the first time and watched Patti Bell learn to move, explore, and finally play β before their bittersweet goodbye π
Blanca was spotted waiting outside a gas station in Sunnyside. She was waiting for a man to come back out. When we asked if she belonged to him, he said βyou can have herβ.
Blanca had no home, no familyβ¦ No place in the world. Weβre prepared to change that. She will never question whether sheβs loved again.
But, now she needs an angel. She needs a foster, and we need a help with her vet care.
