7月1日は沖縄、そして7月6日は東京で、海への想いを込めた音楽をお届けします。
今回の公演では、ハーバード大学とジュリアード音楽院時代の後輩であり、素晴らしい音楽家でもある廣津留すみれさんと共演できることを大変光栄に思っています。すみれさんには両公演にご出演いただきます。
さらに沖縄公演では、ヴァイオリニストの岡田光樹さん、そして沖縄の伝統音楽を担う三線奏者・大城貴幸さんを特別ゲストとしてお迎えします。
東京公演では、4歳で『風の谷のナウシカ』でデビューをした麻衣さん(歌手)とコーラスグループ「Little Carol」の皆さんにご出演いただきます。Little Carolは、スタジオジブリ映画『君たちはどう生きるか』において、久石譲氏の音楽にも参加したことで知られています。
また両公演では、海洋生物学者であり著述家でもあるジュリ・バーウォルド博士によるサンゴ礁保全についての特別プレゼンテーションも予定しています。バーウォルド博士が理事を務める非営利団体「Tela Coral」は、ホンジュラスにおいて12種以上の絶滅危惧サンゴを守るためのバイオバンクの建設を進めています。
海と人、そして文化をつなぐ特別な時間を皆さまと共有できることを心から楽しみにしています。
