As part of a beautiful tradition, before every important performances, and especially during occasions such as Guru Purnima and Dussehra, we would visit our revered Dada Guru, Acharya Parvati Kumar ji, to seek his blessings.
These visits were not merely about receiving blessings. Guruji would guide us, teach us, share the wisdom of the Shastras and impart values that went far beyond dance.
This photograph is one such cherished memory from 2010: a glimpse of a beautiful Guru–Shishya Parampara that continues to live in our hearts and guide us even today.
We are deeply grateful to our Guru, Dr. Sandhya Purecha, for carrying forward this sacred tradition and nurturing generations of students with the same spirit of knowledge, discipline and devotion.

We went for Giddha (probably autotuned to some Garba 🙈) had fun, made memories and all-in-all a fantabulous day out with mumma.
Thank you for a fab workshop and choreography Giddha addis are quite the challenge but you made it fun!
And thank you to all the other participants for all the supporting energy, esp for mom. super sweet of you to take the video - you were amazing!!

Pregnancy, birth, motherhood is often seen through a rose-tinted lens. We dissolve and melt into each moment, and amidst the storms, we rise with hope. And so the cycle continues.
This story is of the larger truth of pregnancy, birth and a woman’s rebirth. It is an ode to my mother, who held me within her, and who holds me still, as I continue the cycle.
