2023年に引き続き、2024年も同時期の12月に“２回目の個展”を開催することが出来ました。

来年は高校生になります。
高校生活をエンジョイしながら、絵を描いていきます。
引き続き、インスタでの投稿と、実際に絵を見てもらえる展覧会をしたいと思っています。

『つながる つなげる』が無事に終了いたしました。
初日は台風接近により雨模様でしたが、おかげさまで閉館することなく全日開場できました。
2024年8月31日から9月8日
9月3日の休館日を除く8日間の開催で、1,433人もの方に絵をご覧いただくことができました。本当にありがとうございます。
『つながる つなげる』
滋賀県守山市の「市民ホール」で母娘で展覧会をするにあたり、最初にこのタイトルを決めました。
ゲスト作家である大塚トモ子氏は私（母: 竹林柚宇子）の高校の美術の先生でした。先生に美術の楽しさを教わり、美術の道を歩んでいます。そして深田充夫氏は、この展覧会を勧めてくれた彫刻家です。そして、母と娘のつながり。
『つながり』を展示のテーマとしました。
そんな『つながり』から『つなげる』へ
湖子は中学3年生で、大人というにはまだ幼く、子どもと大人の中間「少女期」とでもいいましょうか、絵の技術も未熟で、ただ絵を描くのが好きで楽しんで描いている14歳です。
少女の感性で選ぶカワイイモチーフ、鮮やかな色彩、楽しい発想は、未熟でありながらも魅力があります。
そんな絵をたくさんの方に見ていただくためにインスタグラムを始めました。
そう、皆さんと『つながる』ために、湖子が絵を描いている姿を日々動画にしました。
それがこんなに多くの方に見てもらえて、実際に足を運んでくださることになり、感謝と共に大変驚いています。
“エビ可愛い”という感覚や“ブルーベリーと空の色が似ているから一緒に描く”という発想は、母からすれば「ん？どういうこと？わからん」という感じでした。50代の母の感性ではわからないことが、見てくださる皆さまには響いたり、たくさんのフォローと嬉しいコメントをいただきました。
来場者様とお話をしていて「なるほど」と気付かされた言葉があります。
「絵画は、なにを描こうとしているのか、作者の意図や想いを考えて見ないといけない気がする。
たげと湖子ちゃんの絵は、わたしたちの日常が美しくカワイイものだと気付かせてくれる。
まるで料理みたい！自分が料理するときに見える景色のよう。タマネギを切ったところ、レタスを半分に手で開いたところ、そういう一瞬が愛しいとわかりました！
空の色や食べ物の色、それは可愛くて美しい！わたしの見てる景色と湖子ちゃんの見てる景色が一緒！絵を通して気付くことがいっぱいある！ずっと見てられる！幸せになれる。」
そんなことを若い女性が楽しそうに話してくれました。
今回の展覧会で、母もたくさんの気付きをいただきました。
そして、さらに『つながる』ために、ワークショップ“トリム”をしました。
ご来場者様も、実際にアートに触れていただくことで、よりアートの楽しさを感じてほしいとの想いです。
トリミングされている姿は楽しそうで、みんなの作品はどれも素晴らしかったです！
展覧会には、子どもが湖子ちゃんの絵を見たいと言ったので来ました！というお客様も多かったです。
小さなお子様や小学生が「湖子ちゃんの絵が大好きです」と言ってくれて、お手紙をくれたり、遠いところから家族全員でお越しいただいたり。
絵画の展覧会に、お子様が嬉しそうに絵を見ている姿がとてもキラキラして美しかったです。
子どもがこんなに喜んで見てくれる展覧会は、母も初めてで感動しました。
この滋賀県守山市という交通の便も悪い場所に、日本各地から足をお運びいただき本当にありがとうございました。

展覧会に寄せて 娘／杉本湖子 14歳（中学三年生）
ひらひら、ふわふわ、きらきら・・・そういうものを見ると「可愛い」と感じます。
魚のベタは、ヒレがひらひらして可愛いと思って絵に描きました。絵にするときに自分なりの想像を広げてストーリーを作りながら描いています。ひらひらしたヒレはドレスのようで、2匹が楽しく踊っているイメージで描きました。
母とスーパーに買い物に行ったときに見かけたサラダ用のエビは、オレンジの濃淡と白が混じり合ってパックの中にギューっと詰められた様子が可愛いと感じました。ぷりぷりしたエビは、みんなで笑いながら話している学校のクラスのようです。
わたしの母は、家で絵を描いています。小さかったころ、母からあまった絵具をもらって大きなカレンダーの裏にお絵描きしたり、絵を描く母の横で私も描いていたことを覚えています。
大きな絵に挑戦したいと言ったとき、家にはパネルも筆も絵具もありました。すぐにそれをもらって描ける環境でした。そのような環境に感謝しています。また、今回このような発表する機会を頂いたご縁に感謝いたします。ありがとうございます。まだまだ未熟ですがたくさんの方に見てもらいたいと思っています。

Fluttering, fluffy, sparkling... I feel "cute" when I see things like that.
I drew a betta fish because I thought its fluttering fins were cute. When I draw, I expand my imagination and create a story. The fluttering fins look like a dress, and I drew two of them joyfully dancing.
When I went shopping at the supermarket with my mother, I saw some shrimp for salad and I thought it was cute how they were tightly packed in a container with a color mixture of orange gradation and white. Those plump shrimps remind me of a school class where everyone is laughing and talking.
My mother draws pictures at home. When I was a little girl, my mother often gave me leftover pigments to draw on the back of a large calendar. I drew next to my mother as she drew.
When I wanted to work on a larger painting, there was everything ready for me including panels, brushes, and paints at home. It was an environment where I could start drawing right away. I am grateful for that environment. I am also blessed for this opportunity of exhibition. Thank you very much. I am still inexperienced, but I hope many people will have opportunity to see my works.

Hello. I'm a 14-year-old third-year junior high school student living in Shiga Prefecture Japan.
I love painting and drawing.
I've been blessed with the wonderful opportunity to have an exhibition with my mother; who’s also a painter, at Moriyama Civic Hall from August 31st!
I'm grateful that so many people have come to see our exhibition.
