Stepping onto this campus in 2022, I always knew I wanted to join this powerful organization. Coming from the Lady Dons, the number one stomp and shake team in California, cheer has been part of my life for 16 years. 📣✨ Freshman me was timid and unsure, but over time I grew into the confident and strong woman I prayed to become. Every practice, challenge, and lesson helped shape the person I am today. 🤍🎓

Before Southern University ever knew my name… Stomp & Shake had my heart. I was just a baby jag who lived and breathed this style of cheerleading long before the collegiate level ever became a dream… and somehow, by the end of my freshman year, I ended up a part of the BADDEST, MOST INFLUENTIAL Stomp & Shake cheerleading team in the SWAC.
Coming from Stomp & Shake all throughout high school, I thought I knew everything there was to know about this style of cheer. But stepping into this organization was a culture shock in the best way possible. I had to relearn everything and adapt to Stomp & Shake with that Louisiana flair — louder, harder, sharper, and full of soul. It challenged me, humbled me, and pushed me to grow beyond what I thought I was capable of.
To my Rookie 23 sisters, thank you for growing with me through every tear, challenge, lesson, and unforgettable moment. We came in as girls chasing a dream, and through the process became strong women tied together by a bond that can never be broken. Rookie 23 was built on resilience, because even when things got hard, we kept going together. What started as a team became a sisterhood, and to this day, yall are my some of my closest friends/sisters that came from this journey.
