By the time I came back at 10:30 PM, everyone I had called was already home. I called Sukrti and said tomorrow, and without a second thought she said you go work, me and Chetan will handle everything. And they did. I called Vikram, he didn’t even question, just asked is it tomorrow, and said okay I’ll manage. Chetan went to the Tarun Tahiliani Store at closing time, and somehow there was one sherwani ready, exactly his size. Yes. God’s plan. He asked how I will match the outfit and I said whatever you get, I’ll manage, *best* case I’ll come in track pants.
That night we had mehendi at 2:30 AM in our night suits, no makeup, just us and our people, completely raw and real. Next morning I walked into Plumtin and said my wedding is in 3 hours. They were shocked but still managed everything. There was one outfit ready, and I knew that was it. Within minutes it was finalised. My jewellery was selected on a video call with full trust, and when it came I realised why. I love you Divya Di. Hair and drape were done by people who feel like my own family. Komal & Preeti Di.
We booked an Airbnb and Sukriti completely transformed it. Around 30–40 people, all standing, watching, crying, smiling together. This has been the craziest yet the most peaceful decision of my life. Everyone was stress-free except the groom who managed everything. At the end he just asked me one thing, khush bobo? (Im bobo and He’s popo btw) And I was. The happiest. The craziest 24 hours of my life, and the best one. A intimate wedding which I always prayed for, finally happened! ♥️✨
