These are progress shots from the Vagad Global Foundation site in Ghatkopar, a building that will eventually house dormitories and clinics offering free treatment. Right now it is scaffolding, formwork, rebar, and a lot of back and forth between our team and the people building it. The renders get the attention, but this is where the design gets tested against reality.
Every cantilever, every slab, every detail we drew has to hold up here first. Watching a building come out of the ground is a reminder that architecture is as much about the months on site as it is about the image you start with.

The Vagad Global Foundation houses dormitories for temporary stays along with clinics that offer free medical treatment to those who need it. The brief was simple in its intent. The building had to feel warm and welcoming for the people walking through its doors, because they deserve a space that treats them with dignity.
That intent is why we chose Art Deco. The warm sandstone facade and the bronze detailing carry a richness that you rarely associate with charitable architecture, and the ornate vertical panels give the building a sense of character that feels considered rather than decorative. The architecture communicates that you are welcome here without ever needing to say it.
Charitable buildings are usually treated as an afterthought, and we wanted this one to prove that they don’t have to be.

As women leading an architecture practice, there were moments that demanded patience and consistency. Not because the journey was defined by obstacles, but because building something of your own always comes with responsibility. Those experiences only strengthened our clarity in the kind of studio we wanted to create and the values we wanted it to stand for.
Today, alongside leading projects, mentoring a growing team and expanding the practice globally, we are also raising families and embracing motherhood in its fullest form.
The work grew, the studio evolved and so did we. Through it all, we never felt the need to become smaller to fit into the room.

Today, our team members aren’t hiding behind titles like “Junior” or “Senior”. They’re SPOCs, the people clients call by name, the ones who own the room and the project. Almost household names, not just within our studio but with the people we build for.
Every stage of this journey was built patiently, project by project, person by person and that’s what makes this team what it is today.
