It has been a fantastic half-term for Strathallan Tennis, with success across multiple age groups, from school fixtures through to junior international level.
Pupils have taken part in regular games sessions as part of the curriculum, continuing to develop and refine their skills before putting them into practice in inter-school competition. More than 50 fixtures have been played this half-term alone, giving over 100 pupils the opportunity to represent the school.
Internal competitions have also been fiercely contested, and it has been brilliant to see so many pupils enjoying time on court, competing hard, improving and having fun.
Individually, Strathallan players have competed against opponents from across the UK and beyond, achieving success at the Tennis Tayside Open, Edinburgh Open, Middlesbrough Tennis World and the East of Scotland Championships.
The standout achievement came from Thomas D, who claimed the J60 ITF Lexus Junior International doubles title alongside partner Charlie W, securing Thomasβ first junior international title.
Director of Tennis Tommy Ogilvie commented: βIt has been a very enjoyable half-term. Thomasβ victory means four different Strathallan pupils have now won international titles over the last few years. I would put that achievement up against any school, academy or tennis club programme in the country. It is something we are all incredibly proud of and reflects the hard work, dedication and commitment shown by the pupils.β

In the final against the, Strathallan raced into a 14-5 lead before two late tries saw the visitors edge the victory in a thrilling contest on the main pitch.
From the first round of matches at 9am to the final at 7pm, the squad showed incredible determination, resilience and quality throughout an unforgettable day of rugby.
