from a suicide attempt at 18 to almost turning 33, i never thought i’d be here. there were times i couldn’t imagine a future for myself, times when getting through the day felt impossible, and times when i truly didn’t know how things could ever get better. but here i am!! and while life is still frickin’ hard sometimes, i’m SO grateful i get to be here for it.
therapy, movement, my dogs (cody AND wrensy boy too!), getting outside, allowing myself to rest, and learning to ask for help have all played a part in getting me here. there isn’t one magic fix, although i wish there was. but it’s the little things, the big things, the hard conversations, and the decision to keep showing up for yourself, even when it feels impossible.
if you’re struggling right now, if you feel alone, if you’re exhausted from trying, or if you can’t see a future where things feel lighter, i understand you deeply and please know that you matter. you don’t have to have it all figured out today, you don’t have to be okay all the time, and you don’t have to do it alone.
i won’t sit here and tell you it’s easy. it can be hard as f*ck to get to a place where life feels good again. it takes work, patience, support, and sometimes starting over more times than you can count, but it’s worth it. you are worth it.
i’m sharing some of the things that have helped me over the last 15 years in the hope that even one of them might help someone else, too.
please check on your people. ask twice if someone says they’re fine, be kind, because you truly never know what someone is carrying behind closed doors (even those who seem to have it all and are outwardly “so put together.”)
and if you needed a sign to keep going today, let this be it🤍
world mental health day. every day.

i was diagnosed with endometriosis 2 months ago, and i’m still trying to make sense of it all. sharing my symptoms, experiences, and what i’ve learned so far in the hopes of connecting with other women who get it (and know more about it than i do).
it’s really scary how little research we have on endometriosis and women’s health in general so a diagnosis like this feels extremely overwhelming and even scarier than it already should.
so basically, consider this my call to the endo community 📣 if have endometriosis, suspect you might, or have been through this journey yourself, i’d love to hear from you. what do you wish you’d known sooner? what’s helped you? what questions should i be asking?
not to be so “woe is me” but damn being a woman is hard sometimes and this is just another reminder how much we women need to lean on each other 🥹💖

the more i teach, the more i realise how much i care about actually TEACHING.
i don’t just want to tell you where to put your hand, where to put your foot and what to do for the next 10 reps. i want you to understand your body. i want to take the time to explain how you should be set up, what you should be feeling and WHY i’m asking you to move a certain way in the first place.
because once you understand the ‘why’, you start to actually own the movement. you’re no longer just copying what the person at the front of the room is doing, you’re learning how to move your own body in its own way.
so, if you come follow my classes, expect that i’m going to actually teach you but also it’s still me lols so obvs i’m going to crack some horrible dad jokes, make fun of myself and remind you that movement really isn’t that serious.
i feel incredibly lucky that something i started because i loved moving my body has turned into a career where i get to help other people understand and enjoy theirs too 🤍

i didn’t build because i had a business plan. i built it because last year took almost everything out of me — turbulence, leaving a workplace that broke me, and then losing cody, which i still don’t have words for. somewhere in the middle of barely holding it together, i realized the thing i needed wasn’t more wellness. it was people.
one year in, no studio of our own, just a growing club of people who show up for each other across this city. it turns out that’s enough. more than!!!
if you’re new here, welcome 💖 i post the honest version of my life and wellness: the workouts that stuck, the city/people/things i love, the places i go, the brain i have. annnd the chaos that lives quietly inside (🧠)
that’s it, that’s the story. if any of it sounds familiar, you’re in the right place 🥰

i’m usually a pretty open book… but my hair loss has been the one thing i’ve tried to hide for years. i have androgenetic/androgenic alopecia and i’ve spent so much time learning how to cover it, work around it, and carry the insecurity that comes with it.
i’ve tried what feels like everything under the sun to slow it down and stimulate new growth. some things helped a little, some didn’t… and the truth is, i don’t know exactly what the future looks like. there’s a very real possibility i could need to wear a wig one day and when that time comes, i’ll face it. just not today.
for now, i’m choosing hope.
i’m starting PRP treatment alongside minoxidil to try and stimulate new growth, and i feel genuinely excited to see what’s possible. i also feel incredibly grateful: for the hair i do have, for access to treatments like this, and for the privilege of working with at on this journey.
i know hair loss can look so different for everyone. some people experience it in much more severe or unpredictable ways, especially with autoimmune conditions. this is just my version of it and it’s been very heavy in its own way.
sharing this feels vulnerable, but also freeing.
i’ll be documenting what the PRP process actually looks like in another video soon 🤍
