Not many people know that I was actually the backup option. Phil Demmel (Ex-Machine Head) was supposed to be the one to do the gig because his other band Vio-lence who he played with at the time were also supposed to be playing that year. However, due to the restrictions at the time (10 days isolating in a hotel) they decided to postpone until the year after which meant that I ended up with the gig. I just ended up being lucky in that sense.
Playing for Devin who has been one of my favourite musicians was an absolute honour, as well as James and Darby being world class musicians. This eventually lead onto a full tour the year later until we parted ways. I'm so happy I had this opportunity, and even more so happy to call these guys friends and amazing people. Also a huge thank you to Paul Collis as well who was partly responsible for recommending me as well as being a friend of mine for years prior to this.
This will always be one of my favourite memories. Thank you for letting me a part of it ❤️
