Pont d’Espagne in Cauterets is a magical place for a family outing. Surrounded by deep forests, crystal-clear rivers, and the peaks of the Pyrenees, it offers a unique sense of peace. Children love listening to the sound of the waterfalls, running along the trails, and spotting butterflies in the clearings. It’s a place where nature soothes you, where you take the time to breathe fresh air and share simple moments together.
Hard to believe it’s been 13 years of us. We lived what felt like a whole lifetime before we met and now we’ve suddenly known each other for over a third of our lives! We have been through the highest highs and the lowest lows together and have come out stronger every time. It’s beautiful to see love evolve with life experience and when you find your person, you make it through. Together, always.
We had to pull out the old hard drive to retrieve some of these photos but it was so nice to see our old memories and remind ourselves of our story ❤️

Stephan and I had been talking about moving abroad for many years before we actually moved but France was the LAST place we thought we would ever move to (even though Stephan is French, born in Paris) 😂 I knew I didn’t like Paris but that the South of France was more appealing, but still, when talking about where we should move to neither of us ever brought up moving to France. But you know what they say, if you want to make God laugh, make plans 😅
With a new opportunity, came exciting new possibilities and new doors were opened for us and we took the leap of faith to come here and find a new way of life, different to what we had in the UK. The UK has given us so so much that we will always be grateful for, and such happy and important memories and for me, my entire life since the age of 2…but we both wanted a change. More sun, more to do with the kids, busy enough to have lots going on but not hectic enough to feel like London or other major city, more work life balance and better quality of life overall. Little did we know how much it would mean to us to find cathedral like churches all around us, to be steeped in culture everywhere we go, to live a minutes walk away from the river and how a being near a body of water can impact your day. A city that’s exciting but exquisitely relaxed at the same time. It’s a whole new vibe and way of life. We have more time to enjoy our life together as a family which is the best and main thing.
So thank you God for planting us right where we need to be. To our beautiful Toulouse we can’t wait to discover more and more beauty in and around this wonderful city we call HOME. La vie en rose 💕🤎
