The initiative’s visual concept, based on S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl, used game design to raise awareness among teenagers about mine safety in Ukraine.

Before the accident, more than piano lessons were happening here. Art school, choir, music — all kinds of things. A place where voices were meant to ring out, laughter echo through the corridors, footsteps thunder up the stairs. Ordinary life. And then April the twenty-sixth happened…
What scares me most about this story — that morning, some people were still on their way to class. To a drawing lesson, to take care of whatever they had to do. The reactor was already burning, and the city was still trying to live out a normal Saturday. As if nothing had happened. As if there was still time to finish a drawing or memorize a few more notes for a composition. Then everyone left. And the school remained here forever.
There is no music here anymore. Floorboards underfoot, broken glass, old instruments. Pianos standing as if they weren’t abandoned — as if someone simply hadn’t had time to finish the melody. Some keys have caved in, or the strings have been torn out. I heard that a stalker once pressed a key there. But the sound wasn’t alive anymore — not the way you’d expect. Different. Maybe it’s just a story, maybe not. But I wouldn’t touch it either.
Because there are places where the silence isn’t empty. It’s still there. Made of years, and dust, and children’s voices, and lessons that never came to an end.
