👉 Privacy
Opening the front door shouldn’t immediately expose the primary living areas of the home. A foyer creates a visual buffer between visitors at the entrance and everyday family life inside.
👉 A sense of arrival
Moving directly from outside into the living room can feel abrupt. A transitional space allows the experience of entering the home to unfold gradually and gives the architecture an opportunity to frame what you see next.
👉 Better organisation
Entrances are functional spaces too. Shoes, keys, bags, deliveries and everyday movement all need somewhere to happen. A foyer accommodates these functions without allowing them to spill into the living room.
A foyer doesn’t necessarily need to be a large room. Sometimes a change in direction, a screen, a console or a small pause in the plan is enough to create that separation.
For us, how you enter a home is just as important as the spaces you enter into.

For this MD’s cabin, we wanted to create a workspace that feels closer to a home office, while still maintaining a sense of luxury and professionalism.
A combination of marble, warm wood, wallpaper and soft furnishings in sage green brings warmth and character into the space. The result is an office that feels comfortable and personal without compromising on its professional setting.

👉 Cooking smells & smoke
Indian cooking often involves frying, tempering and spices at high heat. Even with a good chimney, completely opening the kitchen to the living and dining areas can allow smells, smoke and grease to travel into adjoining spaces.
👉 Visual clutter
A working kitchen rarely looks like a styled kitchen. Prep, dishes, appliances and everyday ingredients are part of using the space. A degree of separation allows the main living areas to remain visually calmer, particularly when entertaining.
👉 How Indian households function
In many homes, kitchens are high-activity spaces used by multiple people, including household staff, throughout the day. Separating the kitchen can allow cooking and service circulation to continue without interfering with family life or entertaining.
That doesn’t mean a kitchen needs to feel disconnected. We often look for ways to create controlled connectivity, through sliding or glazed partitions, serving openings, and carefully planned relationships with the dining area.
For us, it isn’t about choosing an open or closed kitchen because of a trend. It’s about designing around how the family actually lives.

The spaces balance modern luxury with a more grounded, earthy aesthetic, using warm materials, rich textures and contemporary furniture to create cabins that feel refined without becoming overly formal.
A workspace can feel professional and sophisticated without losing warmth.

Curved forms, soft edges and a restrained material palette create the base of the interiors. Against this, we introduced more contemporary furniture with refined forms and finishes, bringing a sense of luxury into the workspace without overpowering the architecture.
The contrast between the softer architectural language and sharper, modern furniture is what gives the office its character.

We designed two cabins for our client, each with a very different personality. One pairs dark brown wood with a deep green wallpaper, creating a richer, more grounded setting. The other uses marble with warm light brown wood for a lighter, more neutral approach.
Same office, two completely different ways of creating a workspace. Which one would you choose?

Rooted in functionality and guided by context, this 9000 sq. ft. residence blends clean volumes with landscaped fluidity. The central courtyard, anchored by a Plumeria tree, a calming water body, and a textured Raymond stone wall, becomes both a visual pause and an architectural pivot. Across two levels, spatial zoning allows for both connection and autonomy, while the use of light, material contrast, and Vastu-based planning shapes the home’s quiet rhythm.

Each material was selected not just for how it looks, but for how it weathers, reflects light, and complements the home’s surroundings. The warmth of IPE wood plays beautifully against the coolness of glass and stone, while WPC and textured paint bring in durability and detail. Together, they create a facade that feels layered, intentional, and built to last.

At Triveni Farmhouse, the main entrance is on the southern side of the plot. Because this south facade is the first impression one gets of the residence, we designed it to be a compact version of the front facade, using the same elements, materials, and projecting volumes, but in a scale more proportionate to the slimmer facade.
With tapered details and jutting volumes accented in contrasting materials, the linear volume of the residence is contemporary insertion into the surrounding landscape.
