I have built an international career.

A salary, no matter how high, is not a financial strategy.
Here is the reality for our generation in Germany right now:
▶️The average net salary is around €2,850/month
▶️Housing costs alone consume up to 36% of that
▶️Groceries have risen 30% in the last 4 years
▶️Utilities are 13% higher than just 3 years ago
‼️And salaries have simply not kept pace
One income stream is no longer enough.
So as I enter my thirties, I made a decision:
I want to build a life that is not entirely dependent on a salary.
Jasmina and I were talking about exactly this, how building a strong career is actually the foundation, not the destination. And how the smartest move you can make is to use that career income to start building real assets alongside it.
Property investment is one of the powerful ways to do that and one that my generation is not talking about enough.
Not because it is easy. But because it is one of the few assets that works for you and gives you something that a salary never can: OWNERSHIP.
If I could give my generation one piece of advice right now, it would be this:
Stop treating your salary as the end goal.
Start treating it as the starting point.

18 years old.One suitcase. No stable legal status. No fluent French. Just a dream to study law.
I walked alone into the law faculty in Grenoble, asked for 3 minutes to pitch myself for an exceptional admission and got accepted.
That moment changed the trajectory of my life.
2016 🇩🇪 Germany
Are you brave enough to build the career people say you can never have?
Even after graduating in France, Switzerland and Germany, people still told me that with my foreign name, accent and international background, I would never build a legal career in Germany. So I chose courage over opinions.
I started as an Executive Assistant, became Head of Legal and closed major international transactions. After almost 8 years of collaboration, my German CEO called me a “Swiss Army Knife.”And honestly, I think that perfectly describes immigrants who refuse to quit: adaptable, resilient, culturally intelligent and brave.

Here’s the 10-year career path that led to that and the 3 things that made the difference:
1️⃣ Leverage what others overlook
My first opportunity came from an unexpected advantage: speaking Russian. One skill placed me inside a €120M international transaction and gave me early exposure to C-level decision-making.
2️⃣ Build credibility before authority
In structured systems like Germany, credibility compounds slowly. Precision, reliability and consistency build trust and trust opens doors.
3️⃣ Reposition when the ceiling appears
After years in law, I realized my growth would be limited if I stayed only in legal. Pivoting into business development allowed me to expand my impact across borders.

You can survive in English.
But if you want real access, influence, trust, leadership you need German.
That changes perception instantly.
2️⃣ Directness ≠ Rejection
The communication and feedback might feel sharp. The tone might feel cold.
Do not take it personal.

The system will not “include” you automatically.

I push anyway.
Stronger preparation.
