The end of 2025 was a bit rough for me. I dropped my phone in the toilet, I was in a car accident, my purse was stolen and I was loosing what would be half of my hair. Luckily I had insurance to get a new phone. I have fantastic coworkers who have been helping me get places and just a huge support. Replacing my bank card and Drivers License turned out to be easier than expected and even though I was diagnosed with Alopecia my prognosis is really good. I definitely needed this break!
Yule brought me some very wonderful presents. I got to spend time with family. There was quite possibly one of the most beautiful snowfall I’ve experienced in a long time. It allowed me to take some awesome photos. My friends and came up from LA to visit. They brought their brand new puppy Dorthea! I’ve been missing all my friends terribly from LA so it was fantastic to see them and “walk on water” 🤣🤣🤣. It was their first time on a frozen lake! It was also -1 in those pictures. They thought that was wild. Another day there was beautiful Sun Dogs!! Sun dogs (or parhelia) doesn’t happen often so I was taking pics like crazy 🤣🤣. The cats were just soaking it all in.
Another gift was that made it possible to feel like I was watching with my friends in LA. I haven’t cried so hard for so long about a series in a long time. I personally think the last episode was perfection.
I also made Pomanders for Yule. I used to make them with my mom who I lost to cancer when I was 16. They are said to clear negative energies and I could really use that right now.

If you have a ton of people coming over and don’t want to make a bunch of a different cookies, a cookie dough exchange is perfect for you! This was my first time doing this and I highly recommend!
So what is a cookie dough exchange party? You get a group pf peeps together and pick a different recipe for each person to make. Then you make a double batch or a triple batch of the recipe dough and then you bring the dough to the party! There you take out just enough for everyone to sample! It also helps everyone see what they will look like! Then you divide up the rest of the dough and take it home!
It saves everyone time and money since you only buy the ingredients for your cookies! You just freeze the dough you don’t use and pull it out when you’re ready! It’s also fun to try everyone’s favorite recipes!

Who knew living our best life would involve two ‘80s inspired proms in one month? 😍 Last night we attended the premiere of the upcoming Disney Channel original movie Prom Pact. It’s a romantic comedy inspired by the 80s films we all know and love (with wonderful nods to all those films set up as Promposals 😍). This film has so much heart and a wonderful soundtrack.

After the screening Disney threw an epic prom complete with a live band, sundae bar, make your own crown & sash stations and a hopping dance floor thanks to. We saw so many of our friends like from The Santa Clauses, from Zombies and of course! And we met some new friends from #PromPact like and. What a night!
