This piece started with two contrasting clays layered to push the surface closer to weathered bark and fractured wood grain. Finished with an oxide wash to mimic the depth and movement I love from reduction firing but staying in oxidation.

This began as a custom commission… a massive crater form with a spiked crown and dimple-textured feet. Now stands fully realized, staged and alive with its final form.
This Adenium was planted by the collector himself, (Palmstreet fam 🤘), and elevated with volcanic black lava rock and ceremonial staging skulls (available in our Palmstreet shop)
