I feel like social media has changed so much since I started creating this type of work 7 years ago. Video is king, platforms are in flux, trends have sped up. When I started this channel it was a space to play, and over the years it’s become something like a job.
It’s no secret I’ve been taking a bit of a reset and been quiet over here. Call it burnout, or maybe I painted myself into a rainbow corner. In 2023 I’d like to return to this space with an experimental energy and playful spirit. I’ll always love a still image, no matter what Instagram is prioritizing. I might try some things that lose followers, or that don’t work. But I’d rather experiment and be true to myself than try to keep up with trends that don’t feel like me.
