Each frame is a little different in size. Just by adding numbers and keeping things organized will make your job go faster because you’re not wasting time measuring things 3-4 times.
.
Here’s a couple things I number:
window sills, cabinet doors and drawers, screen frames, cabinet parts; the list goes on and on. Tell me what you number!

Start by cleaning the wood with a power washer. Adjust the spray nozzle accordingly. You want it ONLY powerful enough to take the mildew and mold off in order to make it look like new again. You don’t want it SO powerful that it’s going to rip the wood apart.
.
Once fully clean, allow the wood to completely dry.
.
Next, choose a deck stain. We used Super Deck by Sherwin Williams. It comes in a waterborne or oil based formula. Apply the stain to the wood with a paint brush, roller, or spray gun.
.
TIP: If applied to excessively, the stain will run. Make sure to wipe up runs right away. If it starts to dry, the run will show on the finished product.
.
Go over any areas that you may have missed and then step back and take in the beautiful view.

I’m on a mission to save my hosta plants. I asked you if there was something I could do to keep bunnies from eating the leaves. Several of you suggested coyote urine. I actually wasn’t sure if you were messing with me 😂. So rather than coyote urine, I thought I’d try my dog’s urine first and see how that works out. Stay tuned as I keep you updated on whether this works.

Whether you’re a beginner or expert, there’s projects and tips for all. Transforming your home doesn’t have to cost a lot, it just takes willpower to start and tackle a project. For my beginners, I’d recommend painting furniture first. It gets your feet wet and requires minimal tools. If you have no idea where to start, I have a “Flipping Furniture” course getting ready to launch. It’s jam packed full of information that will help you paint furniture confidently and successfully. If you want to get on the waiting list, drop a “Me” in the comments and I’ll DM you the link. Also, tell me what you want to learn.

If you have exterior wood that needs revived, give it a good power wash to get any crusty mildew off. The goal is to get the wood back to its original state.
.
Next, choose a stain color. We used a semi-transparent color. Semi-transparent doesn’t cover the wood grain.
.
Lastly, add decorative touches to the area.
.
Now, do I add a vine to it or not?

We’ve done several rock patios and I’ve absolutely loved them! There’s so many different gravels to choose from to make a pretty seating area without spending an arm and leg for wood or concrete. The other great thing is that it’s a fast process and something you can do in a day or two.
.
For the base, we used a limestone. Limestone acts as a great base because the rocks are jagged and lock together. They stay put and don’t slosh around.
.
On top, I added washed 57’s that have a more rounded edge. These have a more decorative look.
.
Lastly, I added large river rock for detail and dimension.

There are actual adaptors for this. However, if you need something in a pinch, this balloon technique or anything elastic will do the trick.
.
Do you have the actual adaptor or did you do something like this?
