🌿🌿 These very rare intricately carved vintage wooden Berber Kohl (Kajal) bottles and applicators, were used to store dark kohl eye makeup worn by Berber women and sometimes children and men of Morocco, North Africa. Applied for its aesthetic, medicinal, cultural and mythological reasons, it’s a tradition that can be dated back to 3500 BC!!
From Morocco via Belgium to my private collection, that I’ve added to over the years. 🌿🌿
