That was harder than I expected but not because of the distance or the obstacles (both were hard too, ngl) but because I had to ask strangers for help. And I hate asking for help 🙄.

But it’s not like this was your usual situation. Which made me think… Sophy if you’re faced with something almost completely impossible (aka scaling an 11ft wall) and you still won’t ask for help when does that go from being “strong independent woman” to “stubborn, bloody mindedness”?

I think we all know the answer to that 😂.

So this stubborn girl (who also got a migraine halfway through for the THIRD TIME doing a Tough Mudder I think it’s time to hang up my obstacle course trainers) asked for help. And sometimes even got help she didn’t ask for by kind strangers - shout out to the couple who helped me off the 40ft net wall.

On a more serious note, I was doing this whole thing to raise money for charity which, honestly, was what got me through the second half when I literally couldn’t see (thanks migraine). That and Nurofen. If you’ve read this far then I’d appreciate your donations so I can hit my donation target. The gofundme page is here 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

This one was for you Tascha. You’d have hated every second and would have much preferred I did something more refined with champagne or designer heels but I love both of those things too so I hope you’ll forgive me.

Love love LOVE to all the kind people who got me to the finish line. Especially 💪🏻🙏🏻💕
I’m such a snacker and I swear do the best healthy, easy to eat food. Here’s my go to picky bits and high protein meals 🫶🏻💪🏻
It’s felt like there’s been a lot that’s gone wrong these past few years but the optimist in me would say it was all a lesson 👀. Didn’t always feel like that at the time BUT here we are. Alive. Feeling cautiously optimistic because saying everything’s great would jinx it all 😂
Love to keep ppl guessing ✌🏻
Can you tell I’ve been watching MAFs? But in all honesty after completely avoiding dating and dating apps for over a year now it’s given me a lot of time to reflect on what I genuinely need from a partner. I think if you’d asked me about my green flags a few years ago my answers would have been completely different… possibly more surface level? I’m certainly not expecting perfection but I’m in my ✨manifesting ✨era so….. it’s over to you universe 🪐
Banana bread baking. on full volume. A Provence rosé chilling. Couldn’t be bored if I tried hun x
It’s been a whirlwind few months. Lots of travel across the UK. Speaking at my first ever conference for work about something I’m really passionate about especially as an AuDHD woman in the tech industry. I was super nervous being on stage in front of so many people but the buzz I got afterwards from interacting with the audience was so worth it.

I’ve also been starting to get back to myself after a long time not really feeling like me. I share a lot on here but I don’t speak about everything. What I will say is that heartbreak and loss are such complex things to navigate (and I’ve basically been navigating different variations of these for about 3 years now 😅). I felt like I lost myself somewhere around 2023 and it’s been a long and sometimes painful journey trying to find “me” again. Still not there. Still crying on the floor in a mess occasionally. None of this stuff is linear. You’ve just got to keep putting one foot in front of the other. And also - side note - not holding onto everyone else’s version of what grief should look like. You can feel love/ sadness/ anger/ longing/ numb all at once. Or one after the other. Or a different mix one day at a time. There’s no rule book or template.

Speaking of putting one foot in front of the other omgggg was so unbelievable on Friday night. If you’re going to go through heartbreak at least do it during “The Art of Loving” season. Joking aside what a time to be a girl am I right?! Listening to these songs, singing along in an arena full of people who can relate is enough to heal your heart. Even just a little bit. Even if it’s just for a night.

Keep taking those baby steps ppl. I’m right here with you 💕
Nobody really talks about this stuff honestly 💕

Being single in your mid to late thirties can be tricky. Some days I feel like I’ve completely figured out how to enjoy my own company and build a life I love. Other days I just want someone to do the mundane life admin type stuff with.

Both things can be felt and be true.

If you’re navigating the same thing, this one’s for you. Save it, share it with a friend who needs it. Or just know you’re not the only one feeling all of it at once 🫶🏻
