Now in its 13th year, Yukata Day continues to bring the Sophia community together through Japanese summer traditions. Planned and organized by nexnect, a student extracurricular organization, Yukata Day 2026 featured Tanabata decorations, cultural activities, games, and music across the Yotsuya Campus.
The event was first launched in 2013 as part of Sophia University's 100th Anniversary commemorative celebrations to provide international students with an opportunity to experience Japanese culture and connect with others across the Sophia community.
