Someone once told me that the year after the games is supposed to be a chill, no pressure, laid back kind of year. I can confidently say that is not true lol 2025 in sport was tough. I thought taking some time to myself to prepare for the next Olympic cycle would be appreciated and smart. Little did I know that there are still big expectations.
This year in sport really helped me realize that the person who care most about my success is myself. I think it is a tough pill to swallow but an important lesson to learn. Going forward in sport, is all going to be about me. Confidence is key, and that’s what I’m brining to personally was an amazing year. I traveled, I hiked, I camped, I swam, I laughed, and I cried. I am so grateful for the people in my life who lift me up and give me a shoulder to lean on. Let’s go into 2026 with more curiosity, passion, and determination. Cheers to 2025 and let’s get into 2026 🥂
