#Ad A traditional, Indian creamy rice pudding thatโs a popular served during festivals enjoyed hot or cold with rice as a core base and only the best will do! Loved using to create this delicious delight
Ingredients:
๐ 55g Medium Grain USA Rice
๐ 700ml whole milk
๐ 100ml sweetened condensed milk
๐ 1 apple peeled, grated
๐ 1 tsp ghee/butter
๐ 1 tbsp cinnamon, ground
๐ 1 tsp vanilla essence or powder
โค๏ธ Garnish: almonds, pistachios, apples slices
Method:
1๏ธโฃ Wash and soak rice in water for 20mins
2๏ธโฃ Meanwhile sautรฉ apple with ghee on medium flame, cook until the water is evaporated and apple is completely cooked. Cool
3๏ธโฃ In a heavy pan heat milk and condensed milk on a medium-low heat,stirring frequently. When it comes to the boil, add vanilla and drained rice. Mix well and simmer unti rice cooked.
3๏ธโฃ Once cooled add the cinnamon and cooked apple. The kheer will thicken on cooling
4๏ธโฃ Top with chopped almonds and pistachios, sliced apples and dive in
Note: If you want to skip the condensed milk and just use milk then add sugar or alternative sweetneer of choice along with the milk (approx 5 tbsp)
