Next the photoshoot: You don't need a photographer, all you need is a husband 😄😄. Walk to nearby beautiful places to click pictures. I selected a Buddhist temple, a shinto shrine and a garden for the photoshoot. All of these were non touristy places and were not famous so it was easy to click pictures.
Pro tip: Go to the kimono shop the previous day and walk around the area and make a note of all the non crowded beautiful places you could click pictures at which are at walkable distance so that you are not running to multiple places in your kimono and losing your precious time.

Best part is, it sits between the Adriatic coast and ionic Coast, hence you have easily accessible water that is crystal clear.
How to reach: The biggest cities with airports are Bari and Brindisi. If you are visiting the Salento region, I would suggest landing in Brindisi and taking a train to Lecce.
Lecce is actually the best base in Salento as it is well connected by public transportation and is close to many wonderful beaches on both ionic and Adriatic coast.
From here you can travel pretty much everywhere by cheap public transport.
