«وقتی مسابقهام از تلویزیون پخش شد و گفتن ایرانی قهرمان… اشکی که تو چشمهام جمع شد فقط از خوشحالی نبود؛ یاد تمام روزهایی افتادم که خسته بودم، درد داشتم، ولی ادامه دادم.
این طلا نتیجهی یک لحظه نیست… نتیجهی سالها ایستادن، جنگیدن و ایمان داشتنه.
به این راه افتخار میکنم، چون اسم ایران همراهشه.
این طلا هدیهی دل من به مردم کشورمه؛
طلایی که از ته قلبم باور داشتم برازندهی ایرانه.
همین سکوی قشنگ، همین طلایی که تو دستمه.
اما پشتش شبهایی بود که از درد خوابم نمیبرد…
۱۰ کیلو وزن کم کردم، زخم خوردم، گریه کردم، شکستم…
