Dopo aver girato il mondo, abbiamo sentito il bisogno di tornare a casa, portando con noi molto di quello che abbiamo visto e vissuto... esperienza, consapevolezza e in particolare una conferma: il nostro mondo è soprattutto questo. Ripartire da qui è stato un passo quasi obbligato, ma fatto con tutto l'entusiasmo e la spontaneità di cui dovrebbe essere intriso ogni vero momento creativo. Questo progetto lo abbiamo tenuto nel cassetto per un bel po', forse per garantirgli quello che meritava, forse perché il buon vino ha bisogno di maturare prima di essere gustato al meglio. È stato un lavoro molto lungo ed impegnativo, ma altrettanto appassionato. Siamo stati ancora più ambiziosi del solito, ma speriamo ne sia valsa la pena. È il più verace omaggio che potessimo restituire alla nostra terra e, per celebrarne al meglio la bellezza, abbiamo provato a renderlo più ricco e variopinto possibile. Parole, suoni, colori, scorci, luoghi del cuore. Tutto filtrato dalle nostre lenti, con ironia ma anche sincerità, mettendo in luce sia i tanti aspetti positivi che alcune note più amare, evitando i soliti luoghi comuni e cercando di creare un ponte tra tradizione e modernità. Tutto ciò, con l'intento di raccontare e celebrare l'amore per le nostre radici. Per farlo, non potevamo che coinvolgere la nostra gente, tutti i lucani che sono stati dietro e davanti la macchina da presa, che ringraziamo di cuore. In particolare i nostri amici videomaker Angelo Chiacchio e Walter Molfese, che ci hanno permesso di trasformare la nostra idea in meravigliose immagini. Un'ultima menzione al buon Rocco Papaleo, che abbiamo voluto tributare con una piccola ma significativa citazione.
