For anyone who is new here, I thought I’d share a little about the person behind the pots:
I learned the basics of ceramics in college, but was away from clay for a long time until I was gifted pottery classes with a local potter a few years ago. These classes followed by my 6 month apprenticeship through Tennessee Craft and the Tennessee Arts Commission solidified this rekindled love and I was able to take my skill set to a whole new level… and I have been slinging pots ever since! Something about the messy, visceral, embodied process of throwing clay completely hooked me and I haven’t been able to get enough.

I’m super proud of the teeny tiny but highly efficient backyard studio I created out of an existing garden Tuff Shed, plywood panels, Goodwill finds, and various DIY hacks.
My focus is on creating simple, functional forms out of gritty stoneware, with each pot featuring bright bursts of color and dynamic patterns. This exploration of “earthy clay/simple vessel as unassuming palette for vivid color” reflects my own personal creative, healing journey -> finding breathtaking magic and light in simple, slow, humble, everyday ways.

In addition to my passion for pottery, I spend a good chunk of my time advocating for social justice, providing mental health care to those on the margins, and holding space for folks on their healing journeys.
