I am Polina Skarha, an experimental & contemporary freestyle dance artist, performer and choreographer.
I have a Masterโs in Choreographer gained in Kyiv at 2022.
Originally I am Ukrainian baby, but currently developing my artistic and living practice across Europe.
I am based in Amsterdam now. I am she/her.
My working background includes performing Marina Abramoviฤ retrospective repertoire at Stedelijk Museum (2024), bunch of commercial experience, being a part of creative dance crews back then in Ukraine - now I am a member of ๐
My teaching practice counts about 9 years.
Now my main research is build around Improvisation dance - both technical structure and healing somatic transcendence.
I was an active participant in experimental battle scene, which formed the way I perceive dance - flowing, risky, open minded and challenging. One of the platforms which made an impact on my dance style was.
Among other valuable experiences was being a part of a pre-jury cast for in 2024,2025.
I adore to do personal researches all the time and this ongoing determination develops in the dance methodic, which I call โRevelation dance methodโ and โMAP to your body - Movement Awareness Practiceโ. I am slowly gathering all these materials, thoughts and experience of teaching in the book, which will serve a good structured source for those, who loves Improvisation.
Among other interesting notes - I practice Tarot and Akashi Chronicles (google it) and I love to use Tarot symbols in my personal artistic practice as well when I work with people 1:1.
This tool helps me to set the contact of trusted discovery of the inner world and subconscious, helping to bring people (and myself) to the Source of energy within, to their true self.
Thatโs why I believe that each person has a unique voice and is able to โRevealโ their own style of dancing - communicating with the world and others.
I am open to collaborations on professional level. My soul is ready to serve the world with dedication and care. From the source of potential and with warm and solid protection.
