Sooooo yesterday I went to this festival in Accra.
It was a beautiful celebration of Royalty - good vibes, music, tradition, fashion… the whole thing.
At the end of the festival, it’s customary to go greet the King of that area. Respectfully, I go. They announce my arrival, lead me to a small room, and give me a seat. All formal, all proper.
Then the King himself comes out. Older, jovial man, very warm energy, smiling ear to ear.
Before I could even extend my hand to greet him properly, he came right in for a big ol’ hug.
And let me tell y’all… that hug was POWERFUL!
So powerful that in that one Royal embrace, my HEADWRAP and HALF WIG took a bow and came cleannnnnnnn off. #Byewig 💨👑💀🤣
Now everyone else was calm, acting like nothing happened but I was internally in shambles.
When I tell you I was trying to Royally hold my composure and act dignified like, “It’s fine,” while laughing in every dimension of my soul…wheww 😂😂😂😂😂😂.
By the time I got in the car, I was WHEEZING. 🤣🤣
Kinda sad my media guy didn’t catch it, he was on the other side of the door.
Let’s just say… them half wigs might be cute,
but they are NOT Queen approved. 😭🚫😂
