Over the past few weeks, I’ve found myself scrolling through thousands of photos spanning the last decade of my work. With a slight career redirection on the horizon, I’ve been sitting with a lot of gratitude, reflection, and clarity.
What has struck me most is how much both the industry and I have changed. What once felt so colourful, playful, and uncomplicated has gradually become something much more complex. While I love being challenged and pushed creatively, I’ve realised that somewhere along the way, I lost a little of the joy that first drew me here.
So on that note, I’ll be sharing a few of my favourite designs from years gone by. Partly as a way to revisit and celebrate them, but also to remind my audience of what’s possible when we allow ourselves to dream a little bigger & a bit more ‘out of the box’.
Here, there will always be room for colour, unorthodox shapes, fresh decor, and cakes that feel deeply personal to the people they’re created for.
For me, cutting the cake has never been just another element on a wedding timeline.
It’s celebratory. It’s symbolic. It’s connective.
It’s one of those rare moments where everyone pauses to share in the joy of the day.
It’s a once in a lifetime moment, just as any other occasion really is.
Above all, I hope never to lose my sense of curiosity and wonder. There are so many talented artists to learn from and an endless world of beauty to draw inspiration from.
Thank you for revisiting these designs with me. There are SO MANY I love so I just might create another carousel post sharing many more that are close to my heart.
