I think it’s because the hard parts of becoming a parent are easy to explain… you’re tired, your body changes, your life changes.
But the good parts?
They’re not really something you can describe or compare to anything else.
And I do think most of it comes from a well-intentioned place… people sharing what felt hard for them.
