I had the chance to attend the reopening celebration for The Pink Adobe and the Dragon Room, and longtime fans will be happy to know they still feel like the places we know and love. The charm, character, and quirky details are all still there, with a refreshed menu, some new art, and some updates behind the scenes.

The Dragon Room has always been a favorite of mine. It’s where my husband and I had our second date and our first kiss, so it was fun to see these beloved Santa Fe spaces begin their next chapter.

Welcome back, Pink Adobe and Dragon Room!
If you haven’t been to in a while, you haven’t seen everything yet.

Life got busy, so it had been a bit since my last visit to The House of Eternal Return. But I love going to with someone who hasn’t been before, and so we recently took my one-year-old son, and I was reminded just how great the original Meow Wolf is. House of Eternal Return in Santa Fe, New Mexico is a living, changing exhibition, and there’s always something new to discover.

My son is still too young to follow the mysterious storyline, search for clues, and piece together the secrets hidden throughout the exhibit, but there was still so much for him to explore. He loved taking in the lights, colors, sounds, and interactive elements around every corner.

Float Cafe was also a pleasant surprise. I remembered the great cocktails and grab-and-go snacks from previous visits, but the cooked food options were new to me. We ordered the Chicken Tenders, the Southwest Chile Cheese Dog, a Soft Pretzel, and a Churro Sundae, and we loved it all. Worth a stop before, after, or as a break during your visit.

And this summer, Meow Wolf Santa Fe is adding another layer to the experience with Phenomenomaly, a new immersive live performance series running throughout the season on select dates!

If it’s been a while since your last visit, this is your nudge to go again. When was the last time you visited Meow Wolf Santa Fe? 🌀#MeowWolfPartner
Our family recently stopped in to try Outback Steakhouse’s limited-time Specials Menu, available through July 28. We ordered the new Down Under Trio, the returning Toowoomba Salmon, the new Bacon Mac & Cheese, the new Backyard BBQ Combo, the returning Aussie Jawssie, and the new Cherry Berry Shine cocktail, and we left very happy (and very full)!

If you’re visiting on a Thursday, don’t miss $5 Bevvy Thursdays. Enjoy a Wallaby Darned (so good!), a Sauza Gold Coast ’Rita, or a 22oz domestic beer for just $5.

Fun fact: the Santa Fe Outback is one of only three locations in the U.S. featuring this design concept, with the other two located in California. If you sit at the bar, check out the built-in ice rail that helps keep your drinks colder longer!

What’s your Outback order?

#Ad Mark your calendars! Frazier Shows is bringing the Santa Fe Summer Carnival back to Santa Fe, New Mexico June 18–21, 2026!

There’s something about a carnival that instantly takes you back. The rides, the games, the lights, the smell of funnel cake in the air… it feels like summer.

I visited last year and had so much fun reliving those childhood memories. This year, I’m already looking forward to going back, and someday bringing our little guy along when he’s big enough to enjoy the rides too.

Here’s what you need to know:
• Thursday, June 18: 6–10pm
• Friday, June 19: 6pm–11pm
• Saturday, June 20: 3pm–12am
• Sunday, June 21: 3–9pm

Admission is free but you will need tickets to ride the rides. Each ride takes between 4–7 tickets.
• 1 ticket: $1
• 20 tickets: $20
• 40 tickets: $35
• 100 tickets: $75

Or grab a wristband for unlimited rides during these windows:
• Thursday & Friday: 6–9pm
• Saturday & Sunday: 3–6pm
Wristbands are $30 at the gate or $27 online (they stop selling them one hour before they expire).

The City of Santa Fe Office of Economic Development’s new Go Local Rewards Pass essentially gamifies shopping local, which makes my millennial heart so happy.

It’s a free mobile pass that lives on your phone, and when you visit each participating local business, you can check in and earn points. Those points can be redeemed for gift cards to local spots, free local swag or merch, and more. You’re already supporting local businesses, so why not get rewarded for it?

I’ve been using it for several weeks now in partnership with, and what I love is that it is easy to use as I’m already grabbing coffee, meeting friends for dinner, and popping into my favorite shops. Now those stops give something back, and it’s satisfying watching the points add up.

The app also has a map of all the participating businesses, which I’ve been using as the nudge I needed to finally stop into some local spots I’ve been meaning to check out. Plus, new businesses are being added all the time!

Keep an eye out for the Go Local stickers, table tents, and magnets at participating businesses around Santa Fe, New Mexico. That’s your cue to check in and start earning.

Comment LOCAL and I’ll DM you the link to sign up for your free pass or you can get it by clicking the link in ’s bio ❤️ #GoLocalSantaFePartner #GoLocalSantaFe #SantaFeNM
Do you think I can finish a 72 oz steak in under an hour? I’ve been invited to take part in the Big Texan Steak Challenge coming to the Santa Fe Plaza, and I am going to have to train for this!

Route 66 is turning 100 this year, and on Saturday, June 13, the New Mexico History Museum and the City of Santa Fe are bringing the celebration right onto the Plaza with the Route 66 Centennial Caravan, a stop on the original alignment of the route that ran straight through Santa Fe, with the Palace of the Governors and the Plaza as key stops for travelers.

Here is what the day will look like:
• 1:00 to 3:00 pm: “Route” Beer Floats from the Museum of New Mexico Women’s Board in the Palace of the Governors courtyard, while supplies last
• 2:00 pm: New Mexico PBS Route 66 screenings in the museum auditorium, plus the classic car caravan rolling into the Plaza with DJ Christina Swilley spinning 50s and 60s tunes
• 3:00 pm: Public welcome with local dignitaries and special guests, plus tabling with official NM Route 66 artist Darryl Willison and the New Mexico History Museum
• 5:30 to 6:30 pm: the 72 oz Steak Challenge on the Plaza stage
• 7:00 pm: the caravan departs for its next stop in Santa Rosa, New Mexico

Museum activities are included with admission and everything on the Plaza is free.

Mark your calendar for Saturday, June 13 and come cheer me on. I will need it!

Rooftop season is back in Santa Fe, New Mexico!

The Bell Tower rooftop bar at La Fonda on the Plaza just reopened for the season, and they’ve made some updates this year. There are new patio couches, a refreshed cocktail menu, and new food offerings from Chef Marc Quiñones.

This spot is known for its unbeatable views overlooking the Santa Fe Plaza, and it’s open daily from noon to sunset May through late October.

We went for brunch this past weekend and ordered the Chips, Salsa and Guacamole, Yellowtail Crudo, Grilled and Chilled Shrimp and Avocado Cocktail, Guava BBQ Chicken Shish Kabob, and the Green Chile Cheeseburger. The Crudo and the Burger were my favorites!

For drinks, I loved the La Fonda Reposado Special Margarita and James got the Painkiller, which was also really good.

When was the last time you went to the Bell Tower? Share this with someone who could use a rooftop cocktail!
Next on my glow up journey, I got a BroadBand Light (BBL) treatment at Santa Fe Skin Institute in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

I’ve been going to SFSI for a while now, but this was my first treatment like this. The BBL Heroic Laser Treatment starts with a VISIA scan, which is a 3D imaging system that photographs your skin under UV light and calculates your actual skin age against a database of over 250,000 people. Mine came back four years older than my real age.

Jessica walked me through every step of the BBL, explaining what she was targeting and why. The treatment uses broadband light to address sun damage, pigmentation, and redness while stimulating collagen production beneath the surface. Some of the passes were a little bit spicy, but nothing I couldn’t handle.

Healing was basically painless. I had some dark spots appear but they were not super noticeable and disappeared within a few days.

At my follow-up I got a second VISIA scan and the comparison imagery shows real progress! Most people, including myself, need 2-3 treatments to see significant results, and I’m already planning my next one, but first I’m booking a SkinPen Microneedling session.

Save this if you’ve been curious about BBL, or reach out to Santa Fe Skin Institute if you have any questions!
This might be one of the most anticipated restaurant openings in Santa Fe! Salad Fe did something I wish more businesses would do. They announced their plans early, kept the community updated, and built anticipation instead of simply opening their doors one day. That’s a big reason why so many locals have been excited for this one.

Salad Fe recently opened at DeVargas Center and I stopped in a few weeks ago during their first few days of soft opening. Right now they are serving salads all made to order right in front of you, with every dressing crafted in-house. They plan to offer wraps and protein bowls once they find their footing.

I ordered the signature full Greco salad: romaine hearts and spring mix, knife cut genoa salami, chickpeas, feta, english cucumber, sweetie drop peppers, crispy onions, and a creamy greek vinaigrette. I also added chicken to it, and the salad was gigantic! I do like that they offer some of their salads as half salads.

Add this to your Santa Fe lunch list!

Hi! I’m Caitlin 🥰 With so many new faces around here, I thought it would be a great time for a re-introduction post! I love sharing my adventures and the best things to do in Santa Fe and throughout New Mexico.

As a local influencer, I hope to inspire others to share more about the local businesses and events they care about on their social platforms. New Mexico has fewer influencers and content creators than any other state in the US, and I believe our stories and experiences deserve to be shared.

I am co-CEO of, a dynamic influencer marketing agency that specializes in managing influencer campaigns and content creation for tourism destinations and arts & culture businesses — to showcase the best of what our state has to offer!

Some fun facts about me:
- I’ve lived in Santa Fe for over a decade
- In the past two years, I’ve married my best friend and we purchased our first home here in Santa Fe
- I grew up in Michigan and have lived in CT, RI, NY, and China
- I speak Mandarin Chinese and am currently on a 184-day streak on Duolingo
- I recently decided to take a break from accepting new wedding photography clients
- As outgoing as I appear online, I am actually incredibly shy when meeting new people. I was a theater kid growing up so I’m a performer, but I’m introverted as an adult.
- I’m “indoorsy” unless it’s drinks on a patio in the sunshine
- My guilty pleasure song is “Best Love Song” by T-Pain
- Edit: and a new mom as of April 2025! His nickname is Potato 👶🏼

Thank you for following along and for sharing my content with others! It’s the highest compliment and I truly appreciate it. Stay tuned for more updates on the best places to visit, eat, and explore in Santa Fe!
