Leading up to IM Arizona I had some long training weekends. These were race simulation days where I practiced my race nutrition. So come race day, I knew exactly what would work for me. Although on race day I still needed a little more:

Below is an example of what my race nutrition looked like from waking up on race morning to recovery post race fueled by

4:10am wake up
4:15am- 4:30am hydration:
750ml 3 x C30 scoops = 90g
4:30am - 5:00am breakfast:
2 bowls of white rice with maple syrup = 120g
1 white bagel with jam = 60g

Breakfast total carb intake 270g

5:30am - 6:45am Transition to swim start:
750ml bottle with 2 x C30 scoops = 60g
Redbull 35g
2 x C30 gels (1 unflavoured 1 caffeine) 15 mins before swim start = 60g

Pre swim total carb intake 155g

Bike nutrition aim: (130g/hour) split as:
500ml aero bottle concentrate of 12 x C30 scoops = 360g
2 x 750ml bottles with C60 = 120g
5 x C30 gels (unflavoured) = 150g
Total carb aim intake = 630g
On last loop of the bike I felt I needed more as I started to get hungry. I took a bar at the aid station 40g

Overall bike nutrition carb intake: 670g (148g/hour)
Bike 4:31hr

Run nutrition aim: (100g/hour) as:
2 x 300ml bottles with C30 in each
8 x C30 gels (unflavoured)
I split the run in 2 halves: leaving T2 I carried 1 gel flask with 4 gels in and 1 300ml bottle picking up the second bottles in Run special needs.

Total run carb intake: 300g (~100g/hour)
(Not counting Cola through aid stations which I took from 20k)
Run 2:59hr

Post race: P30 protein shake
30g protein
5g carb

It takes balls to stand on an Ironman start line.

And it takes balls to know when to walk away.
Yesterday I did both.

In my last Professional Ironman race I am so so happy to take a win and leave on a high. This sport has levelled up in so many ways and in my view if you want to truly bridge the gap you have to be fully in.
And sadly I am not. This way I get go out, fit, healthy and happy, motivated and excited for the next chapter. I want to give my time and energy to other things in life and be fully committed without the feeling of having one foot in the door. The sport and myself deserve more than that.
Its time.
Triathlon has been a huge part of my life for the last 12 years, it has broken me and built me ten times over. Taught me how to persevere, built resilience I didn’t know I had and given me confidence through the years. I owe so much to every single person who has backed me, supported me and showed me nothing but encouragement and belief when I had completely lost all in myself at times. To past coaches, I took away many learnings that not only helped me in sport but lessons I can take away, making me a better athlete, coach and person.

you never let me back down, never give up and refused to agree with me when I said I had nothing left to give. You got me to the start line, coached me to my last win.
This race was for us ❤️

Friends and family: you just make life wonderful. I really am incredibly lucky to have you all. Feeling very fortunate knowing I have you in my corner! Thank you thank you thank you 🙋🏼‍♀️

🌺 It’s a family affair 🌺

A Fab couple of days celebrating the beautiful wedding of my cousin & 🥰
What a gorgeous day for you both! Loved it!

A short but sweet trip back to the UK. So lovely
getting to spend time with family 😍
A nice little mix.
Lots of travel in a short couple of weeks.
Boulder, Nice, Les Sables, Nice, Frankfurt, London, Manchester, Nice, Boulder.

Getting training in as little and often to keep ticking over but now back in the 🇺🇸 and getting back into the swing of things 🙌🏻

Things I try to do when on the move to keep healthy:

1: Switch the mindset from training to exercise, makes a big difference when you know you won’t be able to get the training in you want or need to, so instead of feeling stressed about what your missing focus on moving the body to feel good as you will most likely be tired from the travel and doing other life things.

2: Hydrate: a big one here. Always keep hydration levels topped up. For me personally if I don’t, I feel more tired and generally just feel a little flat.

3: Use the time out of routine as a ‘break’ enjoy the time off from the monotony of routine because although we like it, let’s be honest… after a while we all wish for a little break now and then, so when the opportunity is in front of you, take it.

4: Switch up the training, I try use the time away to get more gym work in, I love my strength so when I can’t make it to a pool or have a bike this is definitely my go to.

5: I always try to choose healthy food options that are dense in nutrients, when training a lot my aim is fuel in, fuel out. So sometimes I look more for calorie intake but when on the move and training can be limited I tend to go for the most nutritious options. ✌🏻
Yesterday was a Ward kind of day 🏃🏼‍♀️
Been wanting to run up Ward for a while now and yesterday I finally did ittt 😁
An easy long run didn’t feel ‘easy’ haha
Legs felt pretty good but definitely felt the breathing in the last 6k when it hit 6/7%
Starting at the bottom of Lefthand to the top of Ward
Total run 26.4km
Time 2:16hr
Average pace 5:11/km
Average gradient 4%
Total elevation 1,064m
Max altitude at the top 2800m

Think my milage shoe needs an upgrade 😂
The sign of some great exploring!
Had some little cheers from this cute kid at the top 👏🏻
I would really like to do this run again but at effort, some fast shoes and try set a good time 🔥
Fourth Place at IM 70.3 St. George North American championships 🫶🏼

I went into this race with no expectations but came away pleasantly surprised.
I wouldn’t call the 70.3 distance my distance but I feel I put together a really solid day.
It was hot and hilly and once I got out of the swim I really enjoyed it 😁

A lot of the time going into races for me it is the battle with myself that really is the biggest one.
Overcoming the shitty self doubt I put on myself is honestly the hardest part.

I fought all day and although it’s easy to stand back and say what if, I can honestly say I did my best. 40s off the podium.
Il take that 👌🏼

Swim 29:10 (13th)
Bike 2:22 (5th)
Run 1:22 (2nd)
4th 4:17:46 🏊 🚴‍♀️🏃🏼‍♀️

Thank you to for supporting me this week and getting around the course to give run splits, I hope you enjoyed your Mule duties 🫏😂😘

Thank you for the support of

Huge congrats to the podium 🔥
