Meet Marlow & Hollis, two fully embroidered bucket hats I’ve been working on lately πŸŒžπŸ’™

I wanted to play with rich textures, rugged details and intricate patterns for these and I’m so happy with how they turned out! ☺️

Marlow is a patchwork of different blue cotton canvas completely filled with various Japanese Sashiko patterns πŸͺ‘
Hollis is a distressed, torn off-white cotton that reveals navy blue fabric embroidered with different Japanese Sashiko patterns and finished with horizontal lines on the outer part 🧡

They are both incredibly textured, a bit rugged, but just the cutest for the summer 🌞

Which one is your favorite? Marlow or Hollis? 🌊🫢

Blue Labor πŸ’™
A meeting of waves, stone, and slow time.

A poetry written in rugged textures, carrying centuries of heritage into the coastal wind. This is the rhythm of moving threads, where patient craftsmanship meets the raw canvas of the elements 🌊

It began with salvaged white sheets. Transformed through the slow alchemy of a natural indigo vat, then given breath and structure through the deliberate paths of Japanese Sashiko Moyōzashi and Kogin embroidery, English smocking, and hand weaving πŸͺ‘🧡

Every thread holds a gesture. Each piece in this look is one of a kind.

The full look is now officially live on my website 🌞

The dance of indigo-dyed shibori in the salty ocean air ✨🌊

There is a hidden rhythm here. It’s a movement that starts deep in the indigo vat, breathes in the salt spray of the Atlantic, and finally settles into the disciplined folds of these smocked pleats

This cotton gauze is a study in patience. It’s a quiet echo of the hands that worked these same blue dyes and these same stitched pleats long before me, a lineage of craft that feels just as steady as the tide πŸͺ‘

Between the unpredictable magic of the shibori reveal and the slow, rhythmic pull of the needle, it is a piece simply made by the ocean 🌊

A quiet preview. Coming soon. βš“οΈπŸ’™

Discover Hishizashi Kogin stitching with me ✨🧡
Lately I’ve been exploring Hishizashi Kogin and Kogin in general, a traditional Japanese stitching technique that sits somewhere between Sashiko embroidery and counted thread work πŸͺ‘

It’s built on an even weave fabric, where stitches are carefully placed to create rhythmic, geometric patterns.
Like many Japanese textile techniques, it was originally developed to strengthen fabric while adding subtle beauty, it’s all practical, precise, and deeply thoughtful and I’m in love with yet another Japanese craft β˜ΊοΈπŸ’™

What I love about it is the balance: structure and freedom at the same time. Once you understand the rhythm, the patterns almost start to build themselves ✨
On another note, how blue is that blue?! This piece is a belt and I’ve embroidered it on a nice linen cloth I’ve dyed with natural Indigo and I keep being amazed at the intensity of the indigo color πŸ’™

A simple stitch, repeated with intention, can create something incredibly rich in texture and movement ✨
Wishing you all a creative week! πŸ€—

πŸ’™Years of wear, and years of careπŸ’™
This pair again πŸ™ƒ and honestly, it just keeps getting better!

Over the past few years, I’ve been mending these Levi’s 501 again and again for my customer. Every repair adds a new layer: more strength, more texture, more story πŸͺ‘🧡

This time, it’s the back that needed some love!
All stitched by hand, using the Japanese Sashiko embroidery, taking the time each pattern deserves πŸ’™

I love how these jeans evolve instead of being replaced. They don’t just last longer they become something truly personal and tell the story of the person who wears them ✨

And at this point… they’re definitely kind of one of a kind! πŸ˜πŸ’™
