I saw my friend post about revisiting some of the old equipment at his Universe Gym in Pattaya so I dug out this pic where I was fortunate to train there in 2002.

It was a great gym, nothing fancy, just the way I like it, all the equipment was handmade, true hardcore in every way and bodybuilders from all over the world would fly to train here. 💪🏽

This was already my second time in Thailand, I had only just got back from a month's trip and Dorian said "fancy coming to Dennis James's wedding in Pattaya".

Although I had never met Dennis before I didn't need much persuasion so I thought I'd tag along.

Spending the week with Dexter, Dennis, Stephan, Milos, Dorian, and Curly Top was surreal. Milos put me through one of his crazy giant set chest workouts and to this day my chest has never been as sore. Sharing fried chicken wings with Dexter whilst watching the World Cup, dragging Milos all over the local pharmacies🤣, exploring Walking street with the boys and witness Dennis tie the knot made this an unforgettable time.

I've been to Thailand many times since then and currently sitting on a beach in Phuket after spending 2 months here. This is somewhere I can see myself end up living. 🇹🇭😎

24 years have flown by with a blink of an eye.

Cherish the good times and memories as life can go by too fast.🫶🏻

Think we all need a reunion here boys what you saying? 😉

I recently came across a post by my good friend that said:

“Maybe you’re already living your dream.”

It got me thinking about my own life …

And Flex is absolutely right.
I am living my dream.

Now, it hasn’t always been plain sailing. There’s been plenty of challenges, setbacks, and tough times along the way. But looking back, every single one of those moments built resilience, character, and that never-give-up attitude that made me what I am today.

We live in a world obsessed with chasing more — more money, better jobs, bigger houses, faster cars.
But rarely do we stop and sit down to appreciate what we already have in front of us and how far we have come.

I genuinely love my life. And to me, that’s success In itself.

I’ve created one of the most successful gyms in Birmingham — a business I still love and get excited about. I’m surrounded by friends who’ve been by my side for decades. I’ve created the freedom to step away from work, travel the world, and experience life on my own terms. I get to train in some of the coolest gyms on the planet… and many of the bodybuilding idols I once looked up to are now close friends.

When I really take a moment to reflect, I’ve done some crazy and incredible things — and I’m grateful for the life I’ve built.

Maybe the dream isn’t always “somewhere else” or “someday.”
Maybe… you’re already living it. 😎
Another one ✅ off bucket list.
Day trip to Ba Na Hills, Vietnam 🇻🇳
Cable cars floating above the clouds, breath taking mountain views, walking across the iconic Golden Bridge held by giant stone hands, and wandering through French-style castles like you’ve stepped into another world. #việtnam #solotraveling #explorereels #banahills #danangvietnam
Life always finds a way of working itself out in the end.

What feels heavy right now — breakups, job losses, lack of direction, unhappiness — often isn’t the end of the road. It’s just a chapter.

One of the biggest lessons I learned last year was to stop stressing about the future and stop overthinking everything. I was a chronic overthinker, playing every possible scenario in my head and usually landing on the worst one. That mindset led to stress, anxiety, and a life I wasn’t truly enjoying.

The pressure stacked up fast — buying a house, running a business, being a boss, a husband, being the strong one, the shoulder to lean on for friends. At some point, it all became too much.

The real shift happened when I learned to let go… and in some cases, walk away.

Once I did, I felt lighter.
I rarely stress or worry now — especially about trivial things that won’t matter a year from today. I started setting boundaries by saying no more often and stopped over-committing myself. I realised I was giving too much of my time and energy to everyone else and very little to myself.

When I changed that and focused on doing things I genuinely enjoyed — things that made me happy — life felt better than it had in years.

That isn’t selfishness.
That’s self-care.
That’s self-love.

Stop stressing about the small stuff that doesn’t count.
Do at least one thing every day that puts a smile on your face — whether that’s training in the gym, catching up with an old friend, or sitting alone in a coffee shop on the other side of the world, watching life go by… like I’m doing right now.

Slow down. Breathe. Trust the process.
Life has a way of working itself out.

Have a great day 🤍
Same location. 10 years apart.

The first photo was my early 40s.
Retired from competitive bodybuilding.
No real goals. No routine. I had let my body slip.

Yea I was training… but going through the motions with no structure.
Eating too much as most bodybuilders do and doing zero cardio.
No standards, my body was soft and I was undisciplined.

Unfortunately, that's what happens when you get comfortable. Funny thing is i thought i looked good back then!

Fast forward 10 years.

I look younger and feel better than I ever did in my 30s.
Not because I train “hard sometimes" and not because I wait for motivation.

Over the past year I've become relentless with my routine.

Daily cardio — non-negotiable 45 mins fasted
Weights 5 days a week — no excuses, still training hard as Fcuk.
Stretching, mobility work, yoga and regular sports therapy.
I never snack and only eat 2–3 meals a day — high nutritious food that serves a purpose. No junk food, no processed shite.
Fasting once a week.

My are hormones optimised at a level where I feel my best without adding stress to my body. (125mg of testosterone every 5 days if you really want to know!)

I use peptides to keep my body functioning and performing at a high level and to keep me looking more youthful.

My body fat is lower than ever and Im still smashing PBs. This is the best I've felt for years physically and mentally. My joints and tendons feel like titanium. 😉

While most men use age as an excuse to give up,
I used it as a reason to level up.

Remember your body is your vehicle for life so treat it well and respect it.

2026 I'm only going to get better in every way possible.

You don’t get out of shape because you get older.
You get older because you stop doing the hard and boring shit that no one wants to do.

Sure anyone can hit the gym 3-4 days a week that's the easy part. It's the boring stuff outside no one sees that counts.

Remember these words.
Comfort makes you weak.
Discipline keeps you young.

If you’re waiting for motivation, you’ve already lost.
Build them fcuking standards.
Stick to them like your life depends on it.
And stop lying to yourself.
As 2025 wraps up I've had the best fuckin time of my life 😎. Thanks to everyone who made this year so special ❤️🫶🏻. Happy New Year love from Phuket, Thailand 💖#thailand #colombia🇨🇴 #lasvegas #travel #happynewyear2025♥️🎆🎉✨

Whilst in Phuket 🇹🇭 — here are 10 simple tips to stay lean, strong, and feeling fcukin great!

Being here makes staying in shape feel natural. The environment does half the work if you let it. Here’s what I do👇
1. Train early and fasted
Find a good gym like and get your workout done in the morning before it gets too hot. You’ll feel invigorated, energised, and disciplined for the rest of the day.
2. Walking everywhere
Beach walks, exploring streets, sightseeing — the steps all add up. Low-intensity movement keeps you lean without stressing the body.
3. Stay hydrated properly
Heat + training = dehydration. Coconut water, electrolytes, and plenty of water keep performance high and cravings low.
4. Eat fresh, local foods
Lean protein, rice, fruit, veg, seafood. Simple foods digest better, reduce bloating, and support recovery.
5. Keep meals lighter but frequent
You don’t need massive portions. Eat enough to fuel training, not to stuff yourself. 2 meals a day here is plenty!
6. Train with intensity, not volume
Short, focused sessions. Quality reps. Get in, train hard, get out. Your body responds better in hot climates.
7. Daily sunlight (Vitamin D)
This is huge for mood, hormones, sleep, and recovery. Sunshine is nature’s performance enhancer.
8. Stretch, swim, or get massages
Recovery is essential. Mobility, blood flow, and relaxation keep your nervous system calm and your body responsive. A daily massage makes your body feel amazing.
9. Reduce stress on purpose
Less rushing and more chilling- Stress management = fat loss and better health.
10. Stick to a routine, not perfection
You don’t need to be perfect — just consistent. Train most days, eat well 90% of the time, and enjoy the odd glass of red wine or two 🍷 😜

Thailand is proof that when environment, mindset, and habits align — staying lean becomes easy.

Take these habits home with you… and watch how your body and mind change 💪😎
Today’s my last day in the UK before I head off for the next 6 weeks travelling through the Far East — it feels like the perfect way to close out a year that’s been all about self-reflection, self-discovery and, most importantly, self-love.

This past year I’ve levelled up in every way possible — physically, mentally and spiritually. I’ve pushed myself, questioned myself, rebuilt myself and raised my standards across the board. And now, I refuse to accept anything less than the best because I know I deserve it.

One of the biggest game-changers for me has been finding gratitude every single day. Appreciating the small things, the moments you’d normally overlook, the things we take for granted, your close friends, a roof over your head, family. That daily practice has shifted my whole outlook — suddenly you start seeing the positives in every situation, even the challenging ones, life becomes lighter when you choose gratitude over negativity. Don’t be that guy who’s always complaining about how hard life is… if something isn’t right, change it. Take action. Or stay quiet. But don’t sit there moaning — life rewards the ones who move.

Yesterday really brought that message home. I went to my friend Josh's house to help clear his belongings. Josh passed away earlier this year, and seeing all his personal items packed into boxes was a heavy moment. Josh was a good friend, and standing there in his empty home — moving furniture out instead of sharing a laugh with him — reminded me just how short and precious life really is. Never in a million years did I think I’d be doing that. It puts everything into perspective… what matters, who matters, and how fast everything can change. 😔

Travelling always reminds me how big the world really is. It opens your eyes, widens your perspective and shows you there’s so much more out there if you’re brave enough to go find it. 🚀

Here’s to the next chapter, new experiences, more adventures and new growth. ❤️

See you all in 2026 and let's make it the best one yet! 🫶🏻
I've always been complimented about how good I look for my age. Yes I have good genetics but my lifestyle is what keeps me looking and feeling younger than my chronological age. These are the non negotiable practices I do daily to achieve look. You may think it's extreme but to me it's a way of life and daily habits which I don't even have to think about.

This year was all about levelling up in every area of my life, not just physically but also mentally aswell, oh and to have lots of fun 😎This is definitely the best version of Simon Fan yet and it feels like I'm only beginning. Here's to 2026 💪🏽 what are you doing to levelling up? #noexcuses #fitforfifty #ageisjustanumber
