I’ve repurchased the Deep Moisture Spray a bunch of times and it has a set of 👀 now because it’s officially a favorite and it’s going to be a constant repurchase!
I also ordered the lip balm (it’s a skip in my book) and the Anti-Wrinkle Hydrating Serum, but I haven’t tried the serum yet.
If I were a more responsible consumer… I would have ordered the $20ish trial kit they have! (But alas… I am a monster and went for the full sizes. 😂) I’ll link the trial kit in my stories if you’re intrigued!
Highly recommend this line if you love to baby your skin barrier like I do!
Team #babythebarrier! 🩵
My e.l.f. favorites = Cleansing Cloud (Sadly, no longer on their website), Glow Reviver Lip Oil in Pink Quartz, Lash n’ Roll Mascara, and the Complexion Duo Brush!
What are your must-have products when trying to even your skin tone / fade dark spots!? (Other than sunscreen, of course, because we all know that’s a mandatory part of trying to keep your skin tone even and protected.)
The Fresh Sugar Advanced Therapy Lip Balm became a staple lip product for me a few years ago. I keep it with my skincare products and apply it after I shower and it works so well that I don’t have to apply lip products for a few hours after using it and each tube lasts about six months. I feel like it’s worth it due to how long it lasts on my lips — There’s something about it… It has a lovely, pleasant scent/taste and I love using it under my favorite lip glosses. Each tube usually lasts 6+ months for me and it brings me instant joy with every use! (Joy is priceless!)
Tiparoo: I use the applicator that comes with the Tatcha Kissu Lip Mask (which I also love!) to scoop out the remaining product and that works really well!
Do you have a lip product that you just can’t quit!? Do tell! 🩵
I’ll keep oversharing… The Belif Lip Mask + Tatcha Kissu Lip Mask + Laneige Lip Sleeping Masks are also on my repurchase list!
It says it removes sunscreen and light makeup (which… props to them for calling out that the cleanser isn’t going to remove a full face of heavy makeup) but it didn’t fully remove the sunscreen and light makeup I had on each time I tested it — Even on days when I only had a very light amount of bronzer/blush on. (For reference… I opt for lightweight chemical sunscreens and I removed all of my eye makeup prior to cleansing — I usually wear waterproof mascara and I prefer to remove it prior to washing my face as I don’t enjoy the thought of smearing it all over my face.)
I test any one and done PM cleanser out by putting Bioderma Micellar Water on a cotton pad and swiping it all over my face and neck after cleansing to check for any residual makeup and this cleanser didn’t pass that test.
I have too many one and done PM cleansers that do an amazing job (most cost less than this one) to bother keeping the Dr. Idriss Soft Wash cleanser in the rotation, but it was a fun one to test out and I had so many requests for it that I was happy to give it a whirl! 💕
On the plus side: The texture is very neat and the packaging is right up my alley!
I ordered another one and done PM cleanser to test out next — The new Tower28 cleanser and so far so good! But I’m going to continue to test it out before putting a review together.
Have you returned any skincare products recently!? Do tell!
My 👀 Criteria:
I only issue eyeballs to a product after I have finished a container of it — Sometimes I want to issue eyeballs right away, but I make myself fully finish a product before determining if it’s truly a favorite and sometimes I make myself finish multiple containers and try other things before slapping 👀s on it! (That was the case with quite a few of my new favorites from 2023… I’m due to take a new family pic because a few of my favorites have been discontinued (😭 Dr. Jart Peptidin + the two Laneige products) and I have some new favorites to add!
I’m going to do an eyeball transfer from the updated formulation of the Kiehl’s Gel Cream to my current favorite gel cream — I don’t love the updated version as much as the previous iteration of it. I also have a new retinol eye cream that deserves 👀!
I love trying new products, but what I really love is finding products that are so great that I don’t feel the need to constantly try new products in that category — That’s the best!
👀 Signs of Eyeball Lovey:
-If I feel the need to quickly repurchase it before the one I’m using runs out because I can’t picture my skincare routines without it…
-If it’s a standout in the assortment of products I’ve tried in that category…
-If it’s a product I find myself consistently reaching for and it makes my skin happy each time I use it… Then I will issue 👀 to my next container of it so it stands out in my pictures without me having to declare my love for it in every caption!
There are lots of cases where I will consistently use up a product and repurchase it but I don’t issue eyeballs to it because I know if something better comes along, I’m fine moving on from it. (I also don’t issue 👀 to body and hair products, but maybe I should start!)
I love that my favorite products are extra cute and a bit cheeky — They deserve to shine! (And I definitely play favorites!)
Do we share any of the same favorites!? 👀
