There are moments in life that feel like little signs from above—reminders that you’re on the right path, that your dreams aren’t just dreams, they’re waiting to be lived. The 22nd of February 2025 brought me one of those moments!
I didn’t get to duet with this time, but I truly believe I’m one step closer to making it happen. Getting to open and close the night for his concert at Saadiyat Nights was already beyond anything I could’ve imagined, but then… I got to meet him.
We talked about my journey, where I come from, the dreams I’m chasing. And the moment he saw me, he smiled and said, “I wonder why Garth Brooks walked into the room.” That alone would’ve been enough for me. But then I sang a few lines of Lady for him and I’ll never forget his reaction. We spoke about making that duet happen one day.
Meeting your heroes is always a gamble. But this legend was everything I hoped he’d be—kind, warm, and so present in every moment. I left that conversation feeling more inspired and driven than ever. He even said in passing that he should call and connect us! 🤯
All glory to God for moments like these. Huge thanks to everyone who pushed to make this happen, who believed in me enough to try and get me up there for that duet. And through it all, you know the best part? I got to experience every second of it with the love of my life right beside me.
I can feel it. One step closer.
