Sergi, Avrupa sanat tarihine yön vermiş önemli isimlerin eserlerini, çağdaş kuşakların üretimleriyle yan yana getirerek disiplinlerarası bir diyalog alanı açıyor.
ZERO hareketinin kurucularından Heinz Mack, Avrupa avangardının kavramsal ve feminist dönüşümünde önemli bir yere sahip Rosemarie Trockel, resim alanını mimari ve mekânsal deneyime dönüştüren Katharina Grosse, gündelik hayatı heykelsi bir dile dönüştüren Erwin Wurm ve figüratif heykelin çağdaş yorumlarıyla tanınan Stephan Balkenhol, serginin tarihsel ve estetik omurgasını oluşturan sanatçılar arasında yer alıyor.
Bu güçlü çerçeve, resimde renk ve yüzey üzerine geliştirdiği özgün yaklaşımıyla Bernard Frize, soyut resmin spiritüel boyutlarını araştıran Helmut Federle, minimal ve duyarlı yüzeyleriyle Jongsuk Yoon, kültürel kimlik ve ritim üzerine çalışmalarıyla Nevin Aladağ, sürreal anlatılarıyla Oda Jaune, modernist resim geleneğini çağdaş bir duyarlılıkla sürdüren Ahmet Oran, heykel ve nesne üzerinden mekân algısını dönüştüren Robert Elfgen ve malzeme ile form arasında kurduğu özgün ilişkiyle Gülfem Kessler’in eserleriyle genişliyor.

Bermel’in yaklaşımının merkezinde, çağdaş sanat için “modern bir İpek Yolu” kurma fikri yer alıyor: Avrupa, İstanbul ve Dubai arasında kültürel değişimi ve sanatsal dolaşımı destekleyen bir hat.

Sevil Dolmacı Gallery is pleased to announce that Mario Bermel has joined the team as International Director.
A trained art historian, Bermel completed his studies at the University of Sussex and the Università degli Studi di Firenze, and holds a Master’s degree in Art Business from EAC Paris.
He began his career in Paris as an art advisor and gallerist, later expanding his practice to Berlin. In his new role, based between Istanbul and Dubai, he will focus on developing sustainable, high calibre international collaborations across artists, collectors, and cultural institutions. He will also lead the strategic development and positioning of the gallery’s upcoming new space in Paris.
At the core of Bermel’s approach is the ambition to establish a modern Silk Road for contemporary art. This vision supports cultural exchange and artistic circulation between Europe, Istanbul, and Dubai.

Taking its title from Heraclitus’s phrase “everything flows”, the exhibition approaches flow not merely as a metaphor, but as an inherent part of the nature of matter. On canvases where pigment, acrylic, glass powder and light are worked in layers, painting becomes less a finished image than a trace of processes such as fracture, evaporation, seepage and solidification.
