Soms kom je op plekken die zo bizar mooi zijn dat je even niet weet waar je het moet zoeken met de camera… Dit plekje hier, midden in de theevelden ergens buiten Haputale, was daar een mooi voorbeeld van….
Afgelopen week trok ik met de Tuk-Tuk het land in om nieuwe verhalen vast te leggen voor mijn Instagram-serie: Tuk Tuk Talk. De week stond vooral in het teken van spontane ontmoetingen en het filmen van het prachtige landschap van Sri Lanka.
Een kleine recap:
1. Bizar magisch plekje waar je 360 graden omringd bent met theevelden. De andere kant van deze foto is ook alleen maar theeveld….
2. Een spontane straatfeest toen ik een familie van vijf naar hun huis bracht, ergens op een side quest met de tuk-tuk…
3. Ik werd uitgenodigd op het grote Singalese Nieuwjaarsfeest, waar ze naar traditie met het hele dorp spelletjes doen. Voor de jonge mannen van het dorp dé kans om te laten zien wat ze in huis hebben. Ze hebben de hele dag tot 18:00 uur de tijd om de vlag bovenin de paal van 10 meter (!) te bemachtigen. De enige uitdaging: de hele paal is besmeurd met vet, waardoor klimmen bijna onmogelijk is. En hier geen veiligheidskussens….. 😧
4. Stoelendans! Maar dan zonder stoel, en met hoed….
5. Klein stadje ergens onderweg.
6. Niet mijn tuk-tuk…
7. Wel mijn tuk-tuk 😍
8. Elke dag om 05:30 opstaan om droneshots te maken van de zonsopgang…
9. Plaatselijke schoolbus ergens midden in de theevelden…
