First up is, who have 8 stores across Pretoria. Iโve been to two, on our first visit I had a roast beef and sweet chilli hot pressed sandwich - divine. No photos though, too busy chatting!
Second trip was to The Village for coffees, a cookie dough croissant and a milk tart nata. Loved the street art in Pretoria, so this was the perfect spot for stopping off and people watching!

When I couldnโt make the launch night, offered us a table for the soft launch this weekend - easiest yes ever. A good meal mid-Christmas shopping trip is the dream!
We enjoyed:

โ Alpina pizza - Speck ham, fior di latte mozzarella, Grana Padano, potatoes, caramelised onion, rosemary and smoked provolone
โ Mafaldine con Ragรน di Manzo - Beef short rib ragu, mafaldine and Grana Padano
โ Tiramisu
โ A pint of Moretti and an elderflower spritz
Iโm usually pasta over pizza, but we genuinely struggled to pick a favourite here. That short rib is no joke - super tender and a lot of it. The mafaldine held the ragu so well, slightly upset I decided to share everything with J to be honest.
All was not lost though, please believe me when I say this is one of the best pizzas Iโve had in a restaurant in Cardiff. No soggy bottom here, just super light and dunkable crusts and a well-formed base that you can use to attack a dip (I recommend the nduja one). Another bonus is you donโt leave finish up crazy full, which means you can enjoy that dessert ๐
For us it was tiramisu - my all-time favourite dessert. We shared this one as we didnโt want to risk falling asleep for the rest of our shopping trip, but I got the lionโs share... Luckily for me, there is amaretto in โs recipe and J isnโt a fan - one to bear in mind if you arenโt either! In my opinion it was a great tiramisu - messy, covered in cocoa powder with a strong coffee punch, just like you want it.
They open tomorrow, and you best believe Iโll be booking again. Service was super swift so itโs perfect for a lunch date. Those interiors too - no apologies for all the pictures as it is VERY pretty. Will I order pizza or pasta though? Maybe Iโll have decided by my next visit ๐

I thoroughly suggest you save this one for the next time youโre looking for somewhere to go, Cardiff is filled with fantastic options for every occasion and sometimes it can feel overwhelming!
