Il volto, costruito attraverso passaggi tonali morbidi e progressivi, rivela una mano accademica esperta, capace di ottenere una resa levigata e luminosa dell’incarnato. La tavolozza si articola in una raffinata modulazione cromatica: dalle profonde tonalità violacee e bordeaux nelle zone d’ombra alle delicate sfumature rosate nelle aree illuminate, che conferiscono all’opera un equilibrio armonico e una qualità intima e meditativa.
Il mantello, attraversato da vibrazioni calde e soffuse, e il fermaglio in tonalità ambrate introducono accenti luminosi calibrati, senza alterare la compostezza dell’insieme.
L’impostazione compositiva e il linguaggio pittorico rimandano alla grande tradizione figurativa dell’Italia centro-settentrionale, reinterpretata secondo la sensibilità accademica della prima metà dell’Ottocento.
