After being so close so many times, we finally broke through with a P9 finish in Touring Cup at GRIDLIFE — and to prove it wasn’t a fluke, we backed it up with another Top 10 in Race 4.
Since Round 1 we’ve been making small improvements everywhere on the Seems Legit Garage BMW 116i, and it’s finally starting to come together. The N52 on + DCT via combo keeps getting better every session, and we know there’s still more pace left in it.

After college, Chris met Mike, and the two quickly became roommates and teammates—working together on side projects to support Mike’s racing. That’s how Seems Legit Garage first came to life. Over time, their passion turned into a full-fledged dream job, evolving SLG into what it is today.
Chris started out just doing some local track days, but eventually he got hooked. Over the past five years, he’s gotten more serious about racing and now attends as many Gridlife events as he can.
A few fun facts: Chris is a proud Corgi dad to Nellie (a total daddy’s girl) and spends his free time out on the golf course.
We’re counting down the final days to Midwest Fest! Don’t forget to swing by our merch booth—we’ll have free temporary tattoos and would love for you to stop by and say hello!
Mike has been racing since he was eleven. He started as a pro karting driver (yes, we still have one of his old karts at the shop—feel free to bug him about putting an engine in it so we can all go play). Mike continued his racing career through college and was the team lead the FSAE program for Florida Tech University. Today he is a SCCA licensed driver and drives in Gridlife’s GLTC class.
In his earlier Gridlife days, Mike ran Time Attack in the “green car”—his E46 330. That car has seen a lot of track time having raced it in Gridlife from around 2017 until last year, when he debuted the 116i GLTC car.
Originally from New York, Mike moved to Michigan after college to work at FCA. Shortly after moving to Michigan Mike and Chris started on their passion project which slowly took on a life of its own and it has now grown into Seems Legit Garage as we know and love today. Outside of racing, he’s big on fishing and absolutely cannot resist a golden retriever.
