The competition was excellently organized, and many athletes clearly felt comfortable and well supported.

Brandenburg an der Havel ist an diesem Wochenende Gastgeber für internationalen Spitzensport. Beim Kanu-Weltcup messen sich Athletinnen und Athleten aus aller Welt auf unserer traditionsreichen Regattastrecke – ein starkes Zeichen für die Bedeutung unserer Stadt im internationalen Wassersport.
Besonders freuen wir uns über die Unterstützung durch Brandenburgs Sport- und Bildungsminister, der am Rande des Weltcups einen Förderbescheid über 3,6 Millionen Euro für die Modernisierung der Regattastrecke übergeben hat. Damit wird die Zukunft des Standorts als internationale Top-Adresse weiter gestärkt. 💪
Gemeinsam mit und unserer Fraktionsvorsitzenden war Gordon Hoffmann vor Ort, um sich ein Bild vom Weltcup und der einzigartigen Atmosphäre am Beetzsee zu machen. Außerdem gab es ein Treffen mit Ausnahmeathlet. 🏅
Die Regattastrecke ist weit mehr als nur eine Sportstätte – sie ist ein Aushängeschild unserer Stadt und ein Ort, auf den Brandenburg an der Havel stolz sein kann. 👏
