This is part of my open concept area. It took almost 2 years of trying to make it flow with the rest of the home and this is IT. Sometimes you just have to start from zero and put the rest together.
My open concept is neutral but warm, a lot of browns, whites, wood tones. Making the open concept *flow,* this space also had to follow that scheme. Sometimes black furniture pieces feel heavy, but it’s great to break up any space if you have a lot of neutral/wood tone pieces in your home!

1. From builder-grade new home fireplace to something more transitional. Stone is timeless!
2. Creating a defined border for the lawn! FedEx drivers loved doing full U-turns on my grass, now try without damaging property 😉 I cannot believe how clean this made the front home feel!
3. I love DIY fire pits but they all look the same. Creating a design gives it personality. 10/10 my fav home improvement this year!
4. Front lawn landscaping = instant curb appeal 🤌🏼 2026 will be the backyard!

Today is our 5th anniversary! These 5 years have been crazy, but wow have we grown ☺️. We built our relationship, dog fam, and home from the ground up (literally).
