Last weekend we visited to make the most of their latest deal! Honestly, it’s such good value for money and the food was fantastic.
The highlight of the meal for me was the Ham & Mozzarella Pastacini. Think arancini but made with pasta instead of risotto, melted mozzarella core and topped with lashings of Parmesan cheese. The Lasagne Al Forno came to the table bubbling hot. It tasted absolutely divine. The Chicken and Roasted Pepper Pizza is another stand out dish, topped with caramelised onions and hot honey 🍕
I haven’t visited in a while so it was so nice to see the newly refurbished restaurant. It has such a casual, relaxed vibe.

You get a savoury and a sweet platter to share. The best snacks for me were the mini taco, pastel de nata and the churros with caramel sauce.
I had a lovely visit to on Union Terrace in Aberdeen and as always had a fantastic experience. We tried a selection of drinks including the Sauvignon Blanc, Mulled Wine, and Sparkling Wine, all of which were excellent and paired very well with our nibbles.
I went for the lunch deal at £16.95, which included a glass of wine and a charcuterie board – fantastic value for the quality. The charcuterie and cheese tasted, fresh and beautifully presented. We also added burrata with pesto and truffle crisps, which were the perfect extras and really elevated the whole meal.
The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, making it a great spot for a leisurely lunch or drinks with friends. Overall, a brilliant experience with delicious food, great wine, and excellent value. I’ll definitely be back. 🍷✨
Purchased a selection of cheeses recommend by the staff at Gourmet Cheese Co. You’ll find the shop in Rosemount, Aberdeen. It’s one of my favourite places to visit, mainly because they often have samples ☺️
I chose the Brillat Savarin, an ultra-soft, smooth, and buttery. This was our favourite from the selection we bought. You must add this to your cheeseboard this festive season.
✨The aged Gouda was also excellent. The flavour was nice and strong with a bit of a crunch in texture to contrast the somewhat firm texture of the cheese.
We also picked up some quince, crackers and chilli onion jam. I’m still dreaming about this cheeseboard. I need to stock up the fridge and revisit soon.

Last nights dinner was made using Ripe Plantain Pasta Casarecce. It provides a naturally sweet flavour which added more depth to this recipe. A healthy alternative to traditional pasta.
Meliza’s was founded in the UK in 2024 using authentic African ingredients to create their plantain pasta. Available in ripe and unripe varieties their website features recipes which suggest the perfect pasta to include in each dish.
Lovely meal from start to finish. The Roast Turkey and Trimmings main was delicious. Almost went for the Steak Pie to mix it up a bit but I knew I’d have food envy if I did 🦃
There was a selection of desserts to choose from including Mango & Passionfruit Trifle, Raspberry & White Chocolate Cheesecake and Christmas Pudding - all served with cream or ice cream 🍨
